We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Josiah Wolf. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Josiah below.
Hi Josiah, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Always had a knack for it. Started young and kept working at it. Went through time of more serious practice and time of less. I wish I had prioritized some advanced techniques at a younger age but I’m pretty happy with where I’m at. Most essential skill is learning how to play and listen at the same time.

Josiah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have played drums most of my life. I went to school for jazz which I still love playing. In fact I love it more than ever. Around the year 2000 a year after graduating college i started working with my brother making original creative music with him. Eventually I moved to the Bay Area and we formed the band WHY? in 2003 which is still since then I have recorded and toured the world with this band and have some some recording and touring with other bands as well. I perform locally in Cincinnati OH and I teach private lessons
