We were lucky to catch up with Hope Springs recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hope, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
In 2010 I became pregnant with a beautiful baby girl, Addison. In May 2010 due to my Lupus I carried her full term and she was delivered still. Since the day of our loss I promised my daughter that I will make her memory known to anyone or everyone! Addison Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to pregnancy loss awareness. We are a community of parents, families, and friends of stillborn babies who are dedicated to reducing the number of families who have similar losses.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We started Addison Foundation to give families that have suffered the loss of a child a place to come together, judgement free, to share experiences and feelings knowing that we are sharing with people who understand. We offer one-on-one Grief Coaching and we offer gift baskets and meal trains for families who have also had a loss.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I feel the most effective way to grow is to be present! You must get out there and do the foot work needed to make sure you are know, and you have something important. For me it has been connecting with the local hospital and speaking as a panel or even offering advice.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My Co-Founder or VP of Addison Foundation is Michelle Anaya-Blackburn. Michelle and I met at a previous job, we shared lots of time together and our kids have grown up together. When I left the previous job we kept in contact over the years, celebrating birthdays, loss of Family, and the compassion to help others!
