We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rockstarliiife. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rockstarliiife below.
Rockstarliiife, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I learned almost exclusively from my failures. I’ve never received a loss in life only another lesson to learn from. I’m grateful for every hiccup, for every speed bump, and for every mountain I decided to climb. I learned most from pushing myself when people said I could not do whatever it is I wanted to improve upon. They said I could not rhyme good so I practiced rhyming until I became great. They said I could not make a song that was good so I made 1000 bad songs until I made one good one the most essential skill that you can have is trusting your abilities and determination in the face of outward doubt. It wasn’t until I started getting recognition and appreciation in music that I faced the greatest obstacle I never would’ve guessed I would have faced. When you pour your soul into a craft and for more than eight years you are told you are going in the wrong direction the ninth and 10th year where you were being told you are going in the right direction are the hardest surprisingly. I got my own way because I felt like an imposter in my own skin, as if I couldn’t accept the blessings I have earned.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into music as a form of therapy as well as a form of expression. I have always believed since a young age that art is a reflection of life, and since I was 16, I made it a mission to document every emotion that I go through in the medium of music I have a brand. “5-6” where I have made my own definition that it means live a life worth living. I thoroughly believe we should all strive to be happy with where we are where we’re going today in life as well as excited for tomorrow’s adventure.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew earlier the importance of documentation in the background paperwork that goes into performing as well as splits. I am forever learning, but that would’ve given me such a jumpstart. If you are an artist and you perform log it down with a PRO.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think it would be best if we were allowed to let our creativity run wild something I still strive for to this day being able to live off of just what I love something. I’ve always dreamed of and I believe a majority, if not all creatives strive for this. When one has passion in life, they cannot simply go the normal route and be content without fulfilling that passion it is that never ending scratch that must be itched. If creatives were given more freedom to create, the creations would be Unimaginable. Though it is sourly look down upon to be creative when our creations are the most consumed products.
