We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chloe Peña a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Chloe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Absolutely! The content creation industry is FLOODED with polished, overproduced, and highly curated content that can feel disconnected from real life. Many agencies focus on perfect aesthetics and going viral, but at Day Of Socials, we take an entirely different approach—one that prioritizes storytelling, authenticity, and effortlessness.
Instead of using heavy production teams, big cameras, and scripted moments, we capture content entirely on iPhones—and not just for convenience. iPhones are powerful tools that allow us to create content that feels natural, intimate, and truly in-the-moment. There’s a reason some of the biggest brands and artists are using them for commercials and music videos—they’re versatile, accessible, and eliminate the stiffness that sometimes comes with traditional production.
But it’s not justtttt about the device—it’s about the philosophy behind it! We believe that content shouldn’t feel like a production—it should feel like a moment. While most of the industry focuses on staging content, we focus on documenting it. Our goal is to let business owners, brands, and event hosts be fully present, while we handle capturing the magic.
One of the BIGGEST misconceptions about content creation is that you need to be loud, extroverted, or perfectly polished to succeed online. That’s just not true. At Day Of Socials, we work with alllllll of the personality types to ensure that their content feels like THEM. Some of our clients are naturally charismatic on camera, while others feel a little awkward or unsure at first. We don’t force anyone into a mold—they don’t need to become an influencer overnight, or even at all if that’s not their goal!
Instead, we tailor the approach to match their personality and comfort level. If someone loves speaking freely, we let them roll with it. If they need a bit of guidance, we’ll give them simple prompts to get them talking naturally. When we do interview-style content, we have our ways to make it feel like they’re just having a conversation with a friend, NOT like they’re being filmed. And that’s another reason why using an iPhone is so powerful—it makes the whole process feel easier, less intimidating, and much more real.
One of my favorite stories that illustrates this was when we worked with a business owner in the medical industry who was completely overwhelmed by social media. They thought they needed studio lighting, a full script, and a fancy production team JUST to post online. But when we introduced them to our effortless content process—filming simple, high-quality iPhone clips in their natural environment—it completely changed their perspective. Instead of stressing over content, they finally felt free to focus on their business, knowing we were capturing their brand as it actually is.
That’s the heart of Day Of Socials—effortless content creation for brands and life’s biggest moments. Instead of forcing social media into something it isn’t, we help clients embrace their real story, without the stress. That’s what makes us different, and that’s why our approach works.

Chloe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Chloe! The CEO & Founder of Day Of Socials– but before this business ever existed, I was just a curious, people-loving kid who reallllly loved seeing the world from different perspectives.
I come from a family of Cuban immigrants, and I spent much of my childhood between a tiny island in the Bahamas and the swamps of the Everglades. I’ve lived all over Miami—Miami Beach, Kendall, Westchester, the Gables, South Miami—at this point I laugh & just say I was “raised beneath the shade of una Palma.” I was always drawn to people, stories, and experiences. I wasn’t the kind of person who only worked jobs (and let me tell you… I’ve had SO many jobs since 15)—but I launched businesses, helped others build and grow their own, and constantly found myself in spaces where I had to solve problems, create & learn what I was good (and SO bad) at.
Ironically, I’ve never like, loveddddd phones. My sister and I joke about it all the time—somehow, I built an entire business AROUND phones, but it’s only to get people OFF of their phones. Day Of Socials actually started because I was tired of seeing people glued to their screens during life’s most important moments, but I totally understood why! Why can’t they live in the moment AND still have the pictures and videos to cherish? Why can’t they have the best of both worlds? I saw people missing out—at weddings, birthdays, celebrations—so I decided to solve the problem. Instead of people worrying about capturing every second, they could hire me to handle it for them. That way, they could actually be present, and I’d deliver everything to them afterward. Oh you want a super cute reel to post as well? SURE! Anything I can do to get you off your phone!
As Day Of Socials grew, I started to see how much business owners were struggling too—not just at events, but in their daily work. Social media was draining them. It wasn’t just a marketing tool anymore; it had become a full-time job that pulled them away from what they actually needed to be doing. I realized that what I had built for events could also give business owners their lives back. That’s when Day Of Socials expanded into helping brands—not to chase numbers or go viral, but to take content creation off their hands so they could focus on growing their businesses or just like… being a human.
What we do & why it’s different– let’s get into it! At DOS, we create effortless content for brands and life’s biggest moments. We specialize in iPhone videography, not because it’s a shortcut, which it is and we love that, BUT MORE SO because it’s powerful. iPhones allow us to capture moments in a way that feels real, natural, and totally unfiltered—without the intimidation of a full production team.
But it’s not just about the tools! I need people to understand like… we work with people exactly as they are. Some of our clients are naturally charismatic on camera, and others are more reserved. We don’t force anyone into a mold or make them perform. Instead, we make sure their content feels like them, you know? Whether it’s a business owner who needs help getting comfortable on camera or a Bride who doesn’t want to worry about missing a moment, our approach is about capturing real stories, not staged content.
What I’m most proud of? I mean, I’m INCREDIBLY proud of my team. What we do isn’t like, surface level stuff—there’s a lot of intentionality about making people feel comfortable, seen, and supported. We’ve built something, together, that helps people stop overthinking and just be present—whether it’s at a personal event or in their own business. And the quality of our work? The DETAILLLLLS that we absolutely obsess over? It’s a whole other standard of excellence. My team is top notch, I’m so blessed to have them by my side!
Most of all, I’m proud that Day Of Socials has never conformed to the industry in many ways, like chasing views or virality. We’re here to make sure content creation is effortless and stress-free. We don’t want people glued to their phones trying to keep up with trends. We want them off their screens, back in their lives, doing what they do best—whether that’s running their business, celebrating a milestone, or simply enjoying the moment. Our heart has stayed consistent.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of my favorite marketing stories is about how I booked a client without even realizing I was marketing myself. Early on in launching, I was at an event hired to capture content, and I was having the absolute BEST time—dancing right in the middle of the dance floor, cracking up with everyone, fully immersed in the moment (pretty typical of me, I LOVE a good dance party). At one point, there was an older woman (fabulously dressed might I add ) who was dancing right with me— we were having a blasssst just laughing and enjoying the music together. When we stepped off the dance floor, she casually asked me what I did for work. She had no idea I was actually working that night—she just assumed I was another guest. When I told her about Day Of Socials, she pulled out her phone right there on the spot and used my booking link to hire us for her birthday party—without even looking at the package details or pricing. She just said, “Niña, I don’t need to see the prices what I need is you at my party!”. I was in shock that it was that simple, especially at a time where I was still insecure about pricing.
That moment stuck with me because it reinforced what I’ve always believed: people don’t just buy services, they buy energy, connection, and trust. My best marketing has never been about selling—it’s about showing up fully, being present, and making people feel something.
Another defining moment in my marketing journey was actually LAUNCHING this baby, Day Of Socials, in the first place! At the time, event content creation wasn’t really an industry—people didn’t even realize they needed it, because it wasn’t an option. I had to educate them on the problem they ALREADY had—being glued to their phones at their own events—and how I had built a solution for it. There wasn’t a roadmap to follow. I didn’t have case studies or competitors to compare myself to. I had to create a market from the ground up by telling a story that made people say, “Oh my goodness, I do that! I need this!”. The way I marketed wasn’t ads or sales funnels (I literally started this business with $7, lol)—it was showing people what they were missing out on and letting them imagine their events without that distraction.
The same thing happens in our business side today. Many of our clients start with a smaller package because they’re unsure about outsourcing content, mostly because of the (terrible) reputation digital agencies get. But once they see how effortless our content process is and of course how much time they get back, they start bringing in more clients/revenue of their own, and eventually, they upgrade. Not because I upsold them, but because they saw the real impact.
For me, marketing has never been about convincing people. It’s about living the brand, making genuine connections, and showing people the real value without forcing it. Whether it’s laughing on a dance floor or shifting an industry’s mindset, the best sales moments come from just being in the moment and letting people experience it for themselves.

Any advice for managing a team?
When I started Day Of Socials, it was just me—but I always knew that this business would grow. Early on, I realized that I needed a team that truly understood our vision and could show up with the same energy and passion that I bring— but better. For me, building and leading a team is about trust, empowerment, and making sure everyone feels valued.
Something unique about Day Of Socials (or maybe not because it’s 2025) is that we are fully remote, with team members from all over the world. Even though we don’t share a physical office, we operate like a tight-knit, collaborative unit. We meet once a week on Zoom to stay aligned, and once a month, we host Content Days & Trainings, where everyone is invited to come to Miami together, film, learn, and of course—share a good meal and connect in person.
I believe in hiring people who are better than me—people who challenge my thinking, bring new creative ideas to the table, and push our work to be better than I could do alone. I NEVER want to be the smartest or most talented person in the room. The strength of Day Of Socials comes from a team of individuals who bring their OWN expertise, fresh perspectives, and innovation to everything we create.
One of the biggest things I’m proud of is how collaborative our systems are. I’m soooo huge on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) because I believe in having a clear, structured foundation. But here’s the thing—I don’t create all of them alone. My team CONSTANTLY updates and improves our systems, and I trust them to identify better ways to do things. If one of them suggests a change to a workflow, a process, or a new tool, we almost always implement it. I fully believe in letting the experts in their roles lead, and because of that, our operations are constantly evolving in the best way possible.
I also learned early on a phrase that stuck with me: “Hire fast, fire faster.” At first, it sounded harsh, but I quickly realized that it’s what’s best for everyone involved. Not everyone is the right fit for our team culture, and that’s okay. My core team understands that sometimes we bring someone on for training, and they don’t make it all the way through. It’s never personal—it’s about finding the right people who align with our work ethic, creativity, and values. We need highly adaptive, forward-thinking individuals who can keep up with the pace of social media and our evolving industry. Those who do? They thrive here.
It’s easy to keep morale high when things are going great. But what really makes this team special is how we show up when things aren’t so great. Sometimes, we don’t hit a goal. Sometimes, it’s a slow season. The reality of business is that there are ups and downs—but this team? They are fighters. No one panics over a hiccup or a slow month. Instead, they stay motivated, focused, and solution-oriented. They don’t sit around waiting for things to pick up—they strategize, push forward, and find ways to improve.
That’s what makes Day Of Socials different. We’re a team of people who genuinely believe in what we’re doing. We support each other, we push through challenges together, and we show up every day with the same mission—to take content creation off people’s hands so they can focus on what really matters.
A team thrives when they feel trusted, valued, and aligned with a shared mission. That’s the kind of culture I strive to create, but I don’t do it alone. I have incredible mentors who challenge me, push me, and remind me that leadership is a constant evolution. Day Of Socials has not been, is not currently, and will never be a one-person show—it grows because we grow, together.
