Junior , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have an agent or someone (or a team) that helps you secure opportunities and compensation for your creative work? How did you meet you, why did you decide to work with them, why do you think they decided to work with you?
I don’t have an agent for now , I am a freelancer.
Junior , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a non binary black male model and anctor originally from Africa but based in Los Angeles California,USA . I got in the industry it has been 4 to 6 years now but had to take a break from it because of my law studies and now I’m back . It all started when I moved to the university, I decided to become more social and stop being an introvert,so I went for what I have always loved as a child which was being in front of a camera as a model and an actor.
What sets me apart is my sense of creativity and my personality that shines through every time.
I am most proud of myself because I have been able to common this far and breaking stereotypes while emerging as the first non binary black model from my nation . To my clients,I am always ready and available to work with you .
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A story of my resilience happened during my final year at the university studying law . I saw a model casting call online so I decided to give a chance to it . I casted and after the casting the director called me and he body shamed me . Asked me to get more flash and height then come back to his next casting. This demoralized me and made me feel less of a human being. However,it also pushed me to find more happiness in breaking barriers and excelling
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes there’s a particular goal that drives my journey which is to tell the world my story and inspire those that have been rejected not to give up but keep fighting to win .
Again, to all orphans out there ,your mission isn’t over ,it just began .
