Olivia J, appreciate you joining us today. Looking back at the decisions you made early in your career, particularly whether to join a firm or start your own, do you feel you made the right choice for that stage of your career?
When I first jumped into real estate, I didn’t have money, connections, or a network—just a vision and a relentless drive to change my life. So, I needed to start somewhere—and that somewhere was with a firm that was in the process of building its reputation and infrastructure.
At first, I chose to join Keller Williams because I needed the foundation, training, and credibility that only an established firm could provide. But here’s the truth—I was joining a work-in-progress firm, one that was still building its framework for success. They had systems, but they weren’t fully designed for agents to thrive, especially agents like me who wanted more than just the basics.
The firm was evolving, but I quickly realized that while I was gaining knowledge, the tools and support I truly needed to break through weren’t fully in place yet. The systems weren’t set up to empower agents in a way that would lead to lasting success. I had to dig deep and hustle harder, making things work on my own terms while trying to fit into a structure that was still figuring itself out.
I was closing deals, pushing limits, and performing at a high level, but something was off. The firm’s traditional model felt limiting. They gave you just enough resources to stay afloat, but they didn’t provide the true game-changing tools that would make you a top performer. Plus, the wellness of agents wasn’t a priority—no real support systems for mental health, financial growth, or work-life balance.
The firm was in the process of building its own identity, but I was already outgrowing it. I wanted more than what the current system offered—I wanted freedom, control, and real opportunities for growth.
After becoming the #1 minority-owned team at Keller Williams in my region, I realized I had the knowledge, the experience, and the power to build something better. The firm was still evolving, but I didn’t want to wait around for them to figure out how to empower agents.
That’s when I made the decision to break free and build Olivia J Price Realty Group—an independent firm that not only empowers agents but also focuses on their well-being, financial growth, and providing real training for success.

Hi, I’m Olivia J Price, and my journey into real estate wasn’t your typical path. I didn’t come from a family of real estate moguls or have an influential network at my fingertips. In fact, I started with nothing but a dream and a relentless drive to succeed.
At 21, I made a bold move and bought my first home—with no prior experience, no connections, and certainly no money to spare. That was my wake-up call, my tipping point. I realized that homeownership wasn’t just about buying property—it was about empowerment, financial freedom, and transforming my life.
That drive turned into a deep passion for helping others navigate the world of real estate. Over time, I transformed from a rookie into one of the top-performing, minority-owned real estate teams in the state of Georgia.
Real estate was never just a job for me—it became a mission. When I started, there wasn’t anyone who looked like me paving the way. I knew I had to break barriers, not only for myself but also for those who faced the same challenges. Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has been referrals. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with my clients, and they trust me enough to recommend me to their family, friends, and colleagues. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the impact of word-of-mouth marketing. I always make sure to give my clients an exceptional experience, not just through the transaction, but also by educating and empowering them throughout the process. When people feel valued and supported, they want to share that experience with others, and that’s been key in helping me build my business.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
A pivotal moment in my journey came when I realized that the traditional real estate model wasn’t going to work for me—or for the team I was building. I was succeeding as part of a well-established firm, but as I grew, I felt that the system wasn’t aligning with my vision for the future of real estate. I wanted to offer agents more autonomy, better wellness support, and a platform where they could thrive on their own terms—and most importantly, I wanted to create a culture of empowerment for both agents and clients.
At that point, I had to make the decision to break away from the traditional brokerage model and go independent. It was a huge risk—I was walking away from a proven system and entering uncharted waters. But I knew it was the right move for me and my team. Starting Olivia J Price Realty Group meant not only building a brand from scratch, but also changing the way the industry operates.
The pivot wasn’t easy—there were plenty of sleepless nights and challenges along the way. But I also saw it as an opportunity to redefine what success looks like in real estate. By offering agents the support they needed, while also focusing on client education and empowerment, I was able to create a new space that aligned with my values.
Now, looking back, that pivot was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Going independent has allowed me to take full ownership of my vision and legacy, and it’s opened doors for both me and my team that I never could have imagined.
