We were lucky to catch up with Arizbeth Rico recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Arizbeth, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

At Mix and Mingle Miami, our mission is to bring people together through the art of mixology, creating unique and sophisticated experiences. This mission is deeply personal to me because I’ve always loved spending time with friends and family in meaningful ways—sharing laughter, creating memories, and bonding beyond the usual get-togethers.

The inspiration for Mix and Mingle Miami came when I attended a mixology class while traveling. It was an unforgettable experience—interactive, fun, and elevated in a way that made me appreciate the craft behind cocktails. I wanted to recreate that experience with my own friends, but I struggled to find a company that offered the perfect balance of sophistication, high-quality ingredients, and a truly engaging atmosphere. That’s when I realized I could create it myself.

For me, details matter. A great experience isn’t just about the drinks—it’s about the atmosphere, the presentation, and the little touches that make it feel effortless and elevated. Mix and Mingle Miami was born out of this passion: to give people more than just a drink in their hand, but a memorable and elevated experience that brings them closer together in a new and exciting way. I want every event to leave guests with memories that will last a lifetime—something they’ll look back on with a smile, long after the last sip.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Ari, the founder of Mix and Mingle Miami, a luxury mixology experience that brings people together through expertly crafted cocktails and engaging, hands-on events. My love for hosting, creating beautiful experiences, and making unforgettable memories with friends and family is what led me to start this business.  

At Mix and Mingle Miami, we bring a high-end, interactive cocktail experience to private events—whether it’s a birthday, bachelorette party, corporate gathering, or an intimate night with friends. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, from beautifully styled setups to premium ingredients, creating an atmosphere that feels effortless yet luxurious. It’s more than just mixing drinks; it’s about bringing people together in a fun and elevated way—all in the comfort of your own home or wherever you are hosting your event.

I’m most proud of the moments we create—the way people light up when they master a cocktail technique, the laughter shared over a perfectly shaken drink, and the memories that last long after the night is over. My goal is for every guest to walk away not only with new mixology skills but with a sense of connection and an experience they’ll always remember.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

For four years, I ran a franchise for a big company, and at the time, it was all I knew. It gave me structure, stability, and experience in business, but over time, I realized I wasn’t happy or seeing the growth I wanted. I felt stuck, and I knew I needed to make a change.  

Pivoting wasn’t easy—it was scary to step away from something familiar and start fresh in an industry I had no experience in. But I knew I wanted to create something I was truly passionate about, something that felt fulfilling and aligned with who I am. That’s when Mix and Mingle Miami was born.  

Even though I was entering completely new territory, I believed in my work ethic, my ability to learn, and my determination to adapt. I threw myself into understanding the industry, perfecting my craft, and building a brand that reflected my vision. Looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. Not only do I get to do something I love, but I’ve also created an environment that’s exciting, rewarding, and completely my own.  

This journey has taught me that sometimes, taking a risk on yourself is exactly what you need to grow. And while change can be intimidating, believing in your ability to figure it out along the way makes all the difference.  

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Social media is such a powerful tool, especially for a new business, because it allows you to reach so many people and really show them what you’re all about. When I started Mix and Mingle Miami, I knew I had to use social media to introduce the brand, share the vibe, and give people a clear picture of what we offer. Posting consistently was key—I wanted to make sure people could see not just the cocktails, but the full experience, the energy, and the fun that comes with our events.  

I created a few of my own events when I first launched the business. This allowed me to not only provide an amazing mixology experience to those attending but also capture as much content as possible. I made sure to showcase everything—the setup, the engagement, the reactions—so potential clients could see exactly what Mix and Mingle Miami is all about.  

My biggest advice for anyone starting out is to stay consistent. Social media moves fast, and to keep people engaged and coming back, you have to continuously show up. Whether it’s behind-the-scenes clips, client reactions, or beautifully crafted cocktails, sharing your work regularly helps build your brand and keep your audience excited. The more people see you, the more they’ll connect with what you’re doing—and that’s how you grow.
