Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ali Hits. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ali , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My journey began with the love and guidance of my incredible parents, to whom I am eternally grateful. Both of them were trailblazing entrepreneurs who made their mark in the business world.
My father, Tajuddin Ali, embarked on a remarkable journey at the tender age of 17, leaving Pakistan to build a new life in America. With unwavering determination and an indomitable spirit, he began working as an employee at Affordable Furniture. Later, he became the owner of the business, which is now a thriving enterprise and a cornerstone for countless families in the Houston area.
On the other hand, my mother, the illustrious Mrs. Deborah Ali-Williams, is an African American woman who epitomizes strength and resilience. In the year 2000, she established All Peoples’ Funeral Home, a testament to her dedication and compassion. Together, they taught me the essence of entrepreneurship, both directly and indirectly, showcasing the diligence and perseverance it takes to build successful businesses. Looking back, what I may have perceived as tough discipline at the time turned out to be invaluable lessons that shaped me into who I am today. It all worked out for my good!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Greetings! My name is Tajuddin Syed Ali, and I wear multiple hats with pride. As the CEO of All Peoples’ Funeral Home and a recording artist performing under the stage name Ali Hits, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, I have a diverse background that has shaped me into who I am today. My first job was as a to-go server at Chili’s, where I worked for about three years. By the time I left Chili’s, I was the head bartender, having reached that position when I graduated from high school. Although my dream was to become an international music artist and entertainer, my mom persuaded me to take the entrance exam at the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. Reluctantly, I agreed, and that decision altered my plans for the better.
In 2009, I graduated with a certificate in funeral directing from Commonwealth, and in 2013, I returned to earn an associate degree in applied science. In the year 2010 I joined LifeGift Organ Donation Center, where I worked for five years, from 2010 to 2015. In July of 2015, I began working at my family’s funeral home, All Peoples’ Funeral Home, where I applied the knowledge I had gained from corporate America to grow the business.
In 2021, I created a commercial for the funeral home and posted it on TikTok, where it quickly went viral, introducing All Peoples’ Funeral Home to a global audience. Around 2015, before leaving LifeGift I also began writing songs inspired by my life experiences and relationships. Interestingly, my experiences in corporate America began to awaken my song writing skills. Little did I know, these songs would become the foundation of my debut album.
In 2020, after much thought and prayer, I adopted the stage name Ali Hits. The name holds a double meaning: Ali is my last name, and it also pays homage to Muhammad Ali, the greatest boxer, known for his powerful hits, coupled with my desire to create hit songs. By 2023, my debut album was complete from a recording perspective, and the mixing and mastering process was finalized by late 2024. The official release of my debut album will take place on October 10, 2025 in Houston, Texas for tickets visit:

My hope is that my music will inspire the world and bring healing to those who have faced challenging circumstances. Through my story, I aim to show that no matter what obstacles you encounter, you can still achieve your dreams with vision and perseverance. My music, rooted in my personal experiences, was brought to life by God, who divinely sent people on my path to help bring my vision to life. I am also immensely proud that my hard work has propelled my family business to an international audience.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
In the realm of the funeral industry, my education in providing exceptional care to grieving families came from none other than my remarkable mother, Deborah Ali-Williams. She epitomizes the very essence of comfort and support, attending to families and individuals navigating the profound loss of a loved one with unparalleled style and grace.
My contributions to our family business have primarily revolved around revolutionizing our systems, social media, marketing, and public relations strategies. Upon joining the funeral home, I introduced a cutting-edge system that facilitated seamless communication across multiple locations. This system also streamlined staff scheduling, case notes, facility, and case inquiries, ensuring efficiency and clarity in our operations.
Additionally, I transformed our outdated WordPress website into a modern, mobile-friendly platform. By taking charge of our existing social media accounts, I significantly expanded our presence on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. I also launched our business TikTok page, catapulting All Peoples’ Funeral Home into the international spotlight and opening the door for us to have our very own reality TV show titled “The Peoples’ Place.”
However, The most pivotal strategy for attracting and retaining clientele was crafting a clear vision for the business and using that vision as our guiding principle when serving each family. Through dedication and innovation, I have helped elevate our family business to new heights, all while honoring the compassionate legacy established by my mother.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My journey has been one of relentless determination and resilience, shaped by countless challenges that forged the character needed to achieve greatness. My story is a tapestry of emotional turmoil, trauma, and seemingly insurmountable odds. If it hadn’t been for God’s unwavering presence, providing me with insight and revelation, I can’t imagine where I would be today.
When I left corporate America in 2015, I knew I had the opportunity to work at my family’s funeral home. At the time, the business was handling about 75 cases a year, barely enough to sustain a full staff. But in 2016, a prophetic revelation from God during the Superbowl gave me the clarity and vision needed to elevate our family business. This revelation didn’t make the journey easy—it simply provided me with the faith to persevere and manifest my destiny.
Despite achieving remarkable success, I faced opposition and ridicule from some of the very people I was helping. Yet, with every challenge I encountered, I emerged stronger and more determined, reaching new levels and continuing my ascent. Through God’s guidance and my unwavering faith, I’ve turned adversity into opportunity, transforming my family’s business and inspiring those around me.
