We were lucky to catch up with Samantha Troutt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Samantha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
Hi! I’m Sam!
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me?
I was pretty low, I was doing things I shouldn’t have been doing ( extra curricular activities) but the kindest thing is someone who can keep you ground into remind you what your life is about and why you’re here. My best friends have always reminded me that I’m worth something and that as long as you have a heart and it’s still beating. You have a second chance at everything. Unfortunately, Life will give you a lot of trials, but it’s the support and love and kind from one another that can keep us going..

Samantha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I honestly think it sets me apart from most people is that I still care and I still want to see the good and everything. I always try to see the brighter side of things even though the situation may really suck. I still see potential and everyone I meet, Even if they don’t believe in themselves. All I’ve ever wanted to do was give love to people. How it works just nurturing and just being there for someone who needs it the most.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I personally think that people tend to forget the trials and tribulations we all go through are good for us even though they seem horrible. We get the experience and understanding of things that we want and what we don’t want. We also feel every time we remember that memory. I know a lot of people have different opinions on religion, but finding something to believe in and standing for it 100% the enlightenment of finding ones self-love. People tend to forget you cannot be Okay for anyone else unless you’re Okay for yourself…

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to find something useful in my journey every day, I attest my life to having faith. How can I be productive for myself? How can I be productive for my children? How can I be productive for society? My biggest mission is that I just wanna learn To help everyone and be kind To everyone I meet. We all deal with emotions and trying to Understand And take hold of those Emotions Is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
