Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Monika Michniewicz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Monika, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think there are different paths and it is worth listening to yourself and your intuition first.
In my opinion, in order to achieve success which brings happiness and fulfillment, several things are important. In the artistic industry, such as tattooing, the basis is to work in harmony with yourself and your values.
What part of myself would I like to give to others, how can it help them and how will it develop me and my path?
Perseverance and patience are features that help along the way when it takes different directions, which is essential in a long process of development and work.
In my opinion, it is worth training all the time and having a passion for constant discovery and creation.
Surround ourselves every day with people who have a similar mindset, with whom we can inspire and support each other.
In my opinion, constant change, observation and flexibility are also the key to success.
Monika, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I come from Poland, I do tattoos in a studio in the center of Warsaw. I have been tattooing others since 2018. I have always been interested in art and drawing. I graduated from a technical secondary school in interior decoration and a first-cycle degree in graphics. I feel comfortable drawing on other people’s skin. I really like abstractions and surrealism, working with clients, and new challenges. I can propose from scratch solution for a tattoo design or, through a conversation with the client, implement his idea by adapting the best visual solution. The most important thing is that the tattoo suits the person who will wear it, so that they feel good with it, creating a coherent whole. Each meeting is a different story. Through a tattoo, I can describe it and leave a drawing that will accompany with people for the rest of their life. Invariably that gives me great satisfaction.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The process of creation itself gives me the greatest satisfaction. It is a form of meditation thanks to which I can get to know myself better, understand who a human are and what is important for his soul. The visual end result also gives great satisfaction. It is something tangible, a result of work that can be seen.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The most important thing for me in a tattoo is that it is technically well done and that the person who will wear it likes it. It is important to me that the person feels good with the tattoo I make for them and gives them happiness and positive energy
