We were lucky to catch up with Anat Mansour Schatzberger recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anat, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
I am originally from Israel, and when I relocated with my family to Tampa, Florida, I found myself on a journey of reinvention and discovery. The name *Ananas Visual Storytellers* is deeply personal and symbolic. In both Hebrew and Spanish, *Ananas* means pineapple—a fruit that, to me, represents resilience, warmth, and transformation. It reminds me of the Israeli *sabra* fruit, which is not only tough and thorny on the outside but sweet and tender within—it is also a symbol of the Israeli people, known for their strength, resilience, and deep sense of heart.
When I moved to Florida, I wanted to embrace my new chapter while staying connected to my roots. So, I gave *Ananas* a tropical twist—because here, I’ve discovered new sweetness and flavors of life. My company is built on that same spirit of transformation and authenticity. Through visual storytelling, I help others peel back the layers of their own narratives, revealing the depth, beauty, and impact hidden within their stories.
Anat, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Anat Mansour, a visual storyteller and content creator, photographer, videographer, and designer. Originally from Israel, I relocated with my family to Tampa, Florida, just before the pandemic, leaving behind a thriving TV career to embrace a new chapter of reinvention. Though the transition was challenging, it pushed me to rediscover my creative voice in a way that felt deeply personal and meaningful. That’s how *Ananas Visual Storytellers* was born—a fusion of my Israeli roots and my newfound inspiration in Florida.
At Ananas, I specialize in crafting compelling visual narratives that breathe life into business stories. Whether through photography, videography, or design, I help brands, entrepreneurs, and organizations translate their vision into powerful, emotionally resonant content. My mission is to go beyond aesthetics—I create visuals that connect, engage, and inspire action.
What sets me apart is my deeply personal, tailor-made approach. I take the time to truly understand my clients—their vision, values, and goals—so that every project reflects their unique essence. I also work closely with clients to ensure my services align with their needs and budgets, making high-quality visual storytelling accessible without compromising creativity or impact.
Beyond my creative work, I am a passionate leader in the Tampa Bay Jewish community, organizing film festivals, cultural events, and civic engagement initiatives that strengthen connections and foster meaningful dialogue. I believe storytelling is not just about visuals—it’s about building bridges, amplifying voices, and creating a lasting impact.
I am most proud of the transformations I witness in my clients—seeing their confidence grow as they embrace their unique story and share it with the world. For anyone considering working with me, know that I am committed to authenticity, creativity, and a personalized approach that ensures your story is told in the most powerful way possible.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
When I moved to Florida from Israel with my family, I never imagined I’d be rebuilding my career from scratch. Back home, I spent over 20 years in the Israeli TV industry, always as a content creator and storyteller—whether working on big productions or crafting narratives behind the scenes. But photography and videography were just hobbies, something I did for fun or personal projects. Then, life threw me a plot twist.
One sunny beach day, I was taking photos of my friends (because who doesn’t love a spontaneous photoshoot in golden hour?). They loved the pictures and started asking me to take more. Then their friends asked. And then *their* friends. Before I knew it, my little creative outlet had turned into something bigger. That’s when I fell in love all over again—not just with photography, but with the magic of capturing a moment, a feeling, a story.
That passion became *Ananas Visual Storytellers*, where I help businesses and individuals bring their narratives to life through photography, videography, and design. But I also believe that creativity shouldn’t be limited to professionals. That’s why I started teaching smartphone photography workshops—to show people that stunning visuals are literally in the palms of their hands. It’s been incredible to watch others discover the joy of visual storytelling, whether for their business or just for fun.
Some key milestones? Realizing that my “side hustle” had become my *main* hustle when I started booking more shoots than I could handle solo. Growing from casual beach portraits to working with brands and entrepreneurs who trust me to tell their stories. And, of course, finding my own voice in the process—one that blends creativity, authenticity, and just the right amount of self-deprecating humor.
So, to anyone out there wondering if their passion project could become something more—sometimes, all it takes is saying “yes” to a moment, a challenge, or even just a beach day with a camera in hand.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to see the world through different lenses—both literally and figuratively. It’s about shifting perspectives, seeing life through other people’s eyes, and helping them realize that the beauty they seek is already there; they just need to know where to look.
There’s something magical about envisioning something that doesn’t yet exist—an image, a story, a feeling—and working tirelessly to bring it to life. As a visual storyteller, I have the ability to see the finished piece long before anyone else does. It’s like holding a puzzle in my mind, knowing exactly how it should come together, even when others only see scattered pieces. The journey from vision to reality is filled with challenges, but that moment when the final image, film, or design comes to life—when my client sees it and says, *Yes, this is exactly what I dreamed of*—that’s pure joy.
Creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about uncovering meaning, shaping emotions, and giving form to ideas that were once just a spark in the imagination. The ability to dream, to create, and to witness that vision take shape is what makes every long hour, every challenge, and every creative risk absolutely worth it.
