We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elizabeth Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Elizabeth below.
Elizabeth, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
If I had the choice to start my modeling career sooner or later, I would have definitely started sooner. My interest in modeling first sparked when I was in eighth grade, but I didn’t seriously pursue it until I was 16. That’s when I enrolled at Bella Modeling School in Dallas, Texas, to learn from professionals in the industry. At the time, I was still in high school, so a few times a week, I would head to the modeling school after classes for my lessons. Looking back, I realize that if I had started earlier, I would have gained more experience and, more importantly, taken it more seriously as a potential career rather than just a hobby. When I first began, I didn’t truly believe that modeling could be a viable path for me, I saw it as something fun but never something I could actually turn into a profession. If I could go back and change anything, it would be my mindset. I would have approached the program with more confidence and dedication, knowing that self-belief is everything in this industry. Ultimately, I’ve learned that confidence and persistence are key, and if I had believed in myself from the beginning, I might have been further along in my journey by now. However, I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m passionate about the art of modeling and the creativity it allows me to express. My journey into the industry began when I was in eighth grade, I was drawn to the world of fashion, the glamour, and the creativity, but at the time, it felt more like a distant dream than a real possibility. It wasn’t until I turned 16 that I took a step into making it a reality. I enrolled at Bella Modeling School in Dallas, Texas, where I learned from industry professionals and started learning my skills. At that stage in my life, I was balancing high school and my growing interest for modeling, attending lessons multiple times a week. Initially, I saw it as just a fun hobby, but over time, I realized how much I truly loved the craft and wanted to pursue it on a more serious level. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that confidence is everything in this industry. Looking back, I wish I had believed in myself sooner, but every step of the journey has shaped me into the model and individual I am today. What makes me unique as a model is my dedication to continuous growth and my ability to adapt to different styles, brands, and creative visions. I strive to bring versatility, professionalism, and authenticity to every project. Whether it’s high fashion, editorial work, commercial shoots, or runway, I aim to embody the brand’s essence and connect with the audience in a meaningful way. Modeling is about storytelling, it’s about bringing a designer’s vision to life, helping brands connect with their audience, and inspiring confidence in others. My goal is to collaborate with brands that align with my style, values, and creative expression while also pushing myself to explore new opportunities in the industry. I’m proud of how far I’ve come in my modeling journey, from being unsure of my potential to actively pursuing my dreams. Enrolling in modeling school, learning from professionals, and taking my first steps in the industry have been transformative experiences. But beyond personal growth, I hope to inspire others to follow their passions, whether in fashion, modeling, or any creative field. I want people to know that I’m committed to this journey and I am constantly improving as a model and as a creative professional. I believe in hard work, persistence, and staying true to yourself. Whether you’re a brand looking for a fresh face or a follower looking for inspiration, I hope my journey shows that dreams are achievable with dedication, self-belief, and the courage to take that first step.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a model is getting to bring fashion and creativity to life through a single photo. Creating such a powerful feeling just from a photo is something I truly love to do. Seeing the final images come to life, there’s something truly special about stepping in front of the camera, embodying a creative vision, and then seeing the incredible results afterward. I love the collaboration that goes into every shoot, working with photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and designers to create something visually stunning. Getting to see the finished photos makes all the effort worth it because each image reflects not just my work but the combined artistry of everyone involved. It’s inspiring to know that through modeling, I can help bring creative concepts to reality while also evolving and refining my craft.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
One thing I think non-creatives struggle to understand about my journey as a model is just how much work goes into it beyond just “looking good” in front of a camera. There’s a common stereotype that modeling is effortless, that it’s all about having the right face or body and just standing there while a photographer takes pictures. But in reality, modeling is an art that requires skill, discipline, and constant learning. Many, don’t see the hours spent practicing poses, studying angles, maintaining physical and mental well-being, networking, and handling rejection. Some people don’t realize that modeling demands constant awareness of body angles, expressions, and movement. A lot of shoots involve long hours, multiple takes, and the ability to adapt quickly to different creative directions. It’s physically and mentally demanding, especially when working in challenging conditions. There’s a certain unpredictability in modeling, you don’t always know how a shoot will turn out, what direction a designer might take, or if a casting will go in your favor. You have to be adaptable and open to constant change, which can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. Modeling is just like the business world, it isn’t just about talent, it’s about timing, networking, and persistence. You can have all the potential in the world, but if you’re not in the right place at the right time or don’t put yourself out there, opportunities can pass you by.
