We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alexis Bowen a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alexis, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

Though we know there are many sea moss companies, there’s only ONE Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations. As the CEO and Founder of Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations, I have seen the miraculous power of prayer in my personal life and I wanted to ensure that my customers experienced the same in theirs. One of the things that we do at Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations is pray over our products. One of our slogans is “Sea Moss+Jesus=US”. Many of our customers have taken sea moss before and tell us of their prior experiences. However, after taking our Sea Moss, they talk about how they can tell the difference in their health like never before. From doctor’s reports changing to physically seeing people have more energy and tap into their KREATIVE side has been such a joy to see. We believe their speedy transformation is through the combination of our Sea Moss, but also the power of PRAYER!

Here at Heavenly Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations, we don’t just want our customers to get healthy in their bodies, but also their minds and soul. We combine Sea Moss+ Jesus with scriptures on our website associated with our flavors. We also name a lot of our products from biblical stories, scriptures, or slogans you may have heard in your local church.

Alexis, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Alexis Grace and I have been working in the Sea Moss Industry for a little over a year. However, I have been a faithful Sea Moss Lover since the beginning of the pandemic. I started taking Sea Moss and it literally changed my life! I was on a lot of medications at that time and now I don’t have to take them and lost weight in addition to that! Once I saw how much Sea Moss changed my life I began to advocate on the many benefits by sharing my personal testimony. Eventually, I began to sell it while living in the Nashville, TN area. However, after a series of events, I decided to move back to Memphis, TN and bring what I love back to my hometown. Since being here, I have seen countless testimonies of people who didn’t know that Sea Moss existed, now being amongst my most loyal customers.

When I’m not making Sea Moss I am working in the healthcare industry, helping others, and attending my local church! I have been in the healthcare industry since 2016 and I love what I do. I get so much joy seeing people get healthy and take control of their health. With so many innovations within the healthcare world today, educating people on the many benefits of this superfood is another plus within the community! At Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations, we continue to strive to produce exceptionally high quality Sea Moss products that don’t just make you feel good, but it tastes good too.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

When I first attempted to sell Sea Moss it was during the beginning of the pandemic. I was working at a hospital in the Nashville area and after seeing how it changed my life I wanted others to see the same. HOWEVER, I quickly learned though people may seem interested in your results, they aren’t always willing to try the products themselves. I didn’t let that stop me! I continued to persevere and after a series of events, I re-assessed my plan and moved back to Memphis, TN. Starting a business from the ground up brings out a certain level of resilience in any entrepreneur. Either you will believe you will win or you will let the fear of failure consume you and you fail. Though my first attempt wasn’t as successful as I would have liked it to be, I believed in the promises of God to do the business that he gave me. Therefore, I continued to persevere until I saw what he said. Though my business is very new, we have made great progress in such little time and for that I am truly grateful because we’re just getting started!

My encouragement to all of my entrepreneurs is every month or day may not look like the last, but Trust God, Pray, Stay Consistent and Perfect your Craft, Stay Focused, and Don’t Quit or Give up! Your best is yet to come!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

Wow, great question. How did I get the money to start my business? Honestly, I prayed about the concept, which is why I put PRAYER as my first ingredients on my products, and then I used the money that I had left over from one of my paychecks and took a risk. Very bad planning right? I do NOT advise doing it that way. Thank God that by his grace it all worked out! I was VERY nervous, which is where my first Sea Moss Lemonade, and fan favorite, “Water Walker” came from. I believed God had my back as it was a “God idea”. Therefore, I had to trust the plan and walk by faith! I started off small and I was only selling Sea Moss Lemonade during the summer months. Then I added that income and invested in more products and introduced Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations Gel and more Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations Lemonades to the marketplace with plenty of more to come!
