Starting The Social Aspect was a leap of faith that pushed me outside my comfort zone. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was going to work, there were so many unknowns, and the risk of failure weighed heavily on me.
But I trusted my expertise in social media and my ability to help businesses build their online presence. The initial uncertainty was daunting, but with a strong support system of friends, mentors, and clients cheering me on, I found the courage to take the plunge. Their belief in me gave me the confidence to keep going, even when doubts crept in. Today, The Social Aspect stands as proof that trusting my knowledge, and having the right people by my side, was the right choice.

I’m Leigha Baker, the owner and founder of *The Social Aspect*, where I specialize in social media management for businesses looking to elevate their online presence. I started this journey with a leap of faith, trusting my knowledge of social media and my ability to help brands connect with their audiences. Over time, I’ve built a list of incredible clients who’ve trusted me to help them amplify their voices across platforms, and I couldn’t be more proud of the relationships I’ve created.
What drives me is the power of social media to transform businesses, and it’s been amazing to see the growth and success my clients have experienced through tailored strategies that are as unique as their brands. What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
NETWORKING! The power of networking has been a game-changer for *The Social Aspect*. When I first started my business, I didn’t always know if the people I was meeting were actively looking for a social media manager, but I quickly realized that the true value came from building relationships first. Whether it was through casual conversations or meeting new people at events, I focused on connecting, learning about their businesses, and offering genuine support. Over time, these connections turned into trusted relationships, and many of them referred me to others who were looking for help with their social media needs.
Most of my business now comes through referrals, and I can trace much of my success back to the simple act of putting myself out there and fostering authentic connections. It wasn’t just about selling a service,it was about creating meaningful bonds that allowed me to understand each person’s needs and how I could potentially support their goals. What’s incredible is that when you focus on relationship-building, the business naturally follows.
Networking has taught me that growth doesn’t always come from pushing for the sale; sometimes it’s about giving first, showing up consistently, and letting your expertise shine through in ways that build trust. The clients I’ve gained through this approach have become more than just business contacts, they’ve become valued partners who believe in what I do, and that’s the most powerful way to grow a business.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Several key factors have helped build *The Social Aspect* into the business it is today. First and foremost, my deep understanding of social media and its potential to connect businesses with their audiences has been a foundation for everything. I’ve always believed in the power of tailored strategies that resonate with each business’s unique voice and goals, which has allowed me to deliver impactful results for my clients.
Another major factor has been the importance of building strong, genuine relationships. Networking, for me, wasn’t just about making sales, it was about forming connections with people, even if they weren’t initially looking for social media management. By providing value and showing interest in their businesses, I’ve created a network of clients who trust me and refer me to others, which has significantly contributed to the growth of my client base.
