We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shannon Price a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Shannon , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your professional career?
I worked in the mental health field as a case manager and clinician before I worked in real estate. All of my clients had a mental illness, were low income, and many of them were homeless. The job was both extremely challenging and rewarding at the same time. The experience and insight I gained from working with my clients is something I carry with me everyday. I learned how compassion, empathy, and empowerment can change a person’s life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a dedicated and compassionate real estate agent serving the Colorado Springs community. With a passion for helping first-time homebuyers navigate the exciting journey to homeownership, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a personalized approach to every client interaction.
As an educated and committed expert in the real estate industry, I stay up to date on market trends, financing options, and local insights, ensuring clients are equipped to make informed decisions. I combine professionalism with a genuine desire to help clients achieve their goals, whether it’s finding the perfect starter home or building a strong foundation for their future.
When working with me, you can expect unwavering support, clear communication, and a commitment to turning your real estate dreams into reality.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Creating a great social media platform and presence is all about being authentic, engaging, and consistent. Here’s the cheat sheet:
1. Know Your Audience: Understand who you’re talking to and what they care about. Cater your content to their interests.
2. Be Consistent: Post regularly, but don’t spam. Stick to a schedule so people know when to expect your awesome content.
3. Engage Like a Pro: Respond to comments, share stories, and make your followers feel heard. It’s a conversation, not a monologue.
4. Create Quality Content: Use eye-catching visuals, snappy captions, and tell stories that connect. No one wants to follow boring or overly salesy content.
5. Use the Right Platforms: Go where your audience is—whether that’s Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Twitter (and don’t try to master all of them at once).
6. Analyze & Adapt: Keep an eye on what works (and what doesn’t). Use insights to refine your strategy.
7. Have Fun!: Let your personality shine. Social media is about connection, so don’t take it too seriously.
In short: be real, be valuable, and don’t forget to enjoy the ride. Your vibe will attract your tribe!
