We recently connected with Dr. Linda Mitchell and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. Linda , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My defining moment—the one that changed the trajectory of my career—came when I faced a pivotal decision: remain in corporate America in my six-figure role as a Sales Coach, a position I had worked hard to obtain, or take the leap into full-time entrepreneurship with my business, Sweet Heart Mitchell Collection.
At first glance, the choice seemed daunting. I had built a career that provided financial stability and a sense of accomplishment. But deep down, I knew I was being called to something greater. I longed for a better quality of life—one where I wasn’t spending six hours a day in traffic, one where I could live near the beach in an environment that nurtured me. Most importantly, I wanted my work to have a meaningful impact, serving my community in a way that contributed to the betterment of humanity.
With the unwavering support and encouragement of my husband, I made the transition into full-time entrepreneurship. It was the best decision of my career. Stepping into my purpose gave me a renewed sense of freedom and confidence, and I haven’t looked back since.
Dr. Linda , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Linda Mitchell, the founder and owner of Sweet Heart Mitchell Collection, a health and wellness brand dedicated to inspiring a lifestyle of self-care, nourishment, and vitality. My journey into this industry was fueled by my deep passion for holistic health, natural remedies, and the power of superfoods. As an expert herbalist, social media strategist, and entrepreneur, I’ve spent years studying and perfecting formulas that not only taste incredible but also support overall well-being.
At Sweet Heart Mitchell Collection, we offer a range of all-natural, organic products designed to enhance health from the inside out. This includes fresh cold-pressed juices, over 55 flavors of organic sea moss, immune-boosting syrups like elderberry syrup, whipped shea butter for eczema and skin concerns, and luxurious massage candles infused with organic sea moss and shea butter. Each product is carefully crafted to provide essential nutrients and minerals that fuel the body, promote energy, and inspire healthier living.
What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and community. We don’t just sell products; we offer a lifestyle shift—empowering individuals to take control of their health through nature’s finest ingredients. Our business operates as a mobile health and wellness truck, making it easy for customers to access fresh, organic, nutrient-rich products at local farmers’ markets. Additionally, I provide in-person and virtual classes on juicing, self-care, vision board creation, and herbal apothecary building—helping others integrate holistic health into their daily lives.
One of my greatest accomplishments has been building a brand that not only supports my family but also allows me to give back generously to my community. I love creating digital and physical self-care planners that encourage self-love, balance, and success.
For those discovering my brand for the first time, I want you to know that Sweet Heart Mitchell Collection is more than just a business—it’s a movement toward wellness, self-care, and financial empowerment. My goal is to help others live better, feel better, and create sustainable wealth, all while doing what they love.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for building our clientele has been maintaining brand consistency and ensuring the highest quality in our products. While we may not be perfect, we are deeply committed to delivering a consistent experience—both in the quality of our products and in our customer service. When challenges arise, we view them as opportunities to learn, refine our processes, and implement new practices that enhance both our brand and the customer experience. Our dedication to growth and excellence is what keeps our customers coming back.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that asking for help is a weakness. As a business owner, I wear many hats, but I’ve realized that I don’t have to wear them all. Instead, I’ve learned to delegate tasks outside my strengths to individuals whose expertise aligns with those responsibilities. This shift has not only saved me valuable time and energy but has also empowered me to support and uplift other businesses in my community. There is something truly powerful about watching others thrive in their zone of genius while simultaneously helping my business grow. Delegation isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about collaboration, empowerment, and building a stronger ecosystem of success.
This lesson was a difficult one for me because of my upbringing. I was raised by my mother, a strong, resilient woman who worked tirelessly as a nurse while raising eight children on her own. With no real support system in place, we quickly became self-sufficient, learning to follow house rules and handle responsibilities while she was at work. I grew up with the mindset that I had to figure things out on my own to survive.
This independence pushed me to excel in my studies and become highly resourceful, but it also ingrained a resistance to asking for help. I believed that self-sufficiency was the only path to success, and while that served me well in many areas of life, it became a limitation in business. Running a company requires collaboration, delegation, and trust. I quickly learned that trying to do everything myself wasn’t sustainable—and, more importantly, that seeking support doesn’t make you weak; it makes you stronger.
By shifting to a team mentality, I’ve been able to grow my business while also creating opportunities for others. Learning to delegate has not only made me a better leader but has also allowed me to build a business that thrives on collective success rather than individual effort.
