We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lauren O’neill. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lauren below.
Lauren, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Simply have to focus on the positive and practice gratefulness through all times from challenging to celebratory. Through each day there are obstacles and challenges along with endless positive moments. I always learn from each experience and person who enters and sometimes exits my life. My mindset has propelled my career in real estate and helped me build relationships to last a lifetime along the way. The thing about real estate is that you can work with a client looking to downsize once their children are grown, buy their first ever home to make their own, relocate and the list goes on and on! I set aside time each morning to think and write about positivity and gratefulness and how I impact lives on a daily basis. I love to bring happiness into lives no matter what stage they are in. I always say that real estate is not simply a job but a way of life!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
At one point in my life; and a pivotal one at that, I dressed up as a Disney princess and skated for thousands of people around the world with Disney On Ice. I had so much fun travelling to so many places and constantly living the excitement of being on tour. The time came that I needed to settle back home and transition into a life in one place. My home became my safe space and where I found calmness and peace. I am someone who loves adventure and travel but I deeply value home base, where I truly rest so deeply. I feel as though our lives bring us on many paths and along the way we may live in one home for all of it or we may most likely will find ourselves moving to a different home to create this feeling of comfort in.
I am not only a realtor truly focused on helping clients create their path through their moves but I also have a passion for going above and beyond to simplify this process and provide help in many ways. If I have a client that needs additional help prepping their home for sale, I thrive off helping with this process. From yardwork, cleaning and painting to having heavy heart to heart chats about the feelings that come along with moving, real estate brings it all on and I welcome it all with open arms.
If there is any career out there that blends all of my passion and determination into one, it’s this one. Bring on the ups, the downs and everything in between!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Referrals referrals referrals! When I do a good job for one person, that one person can tell countless others how awesome I am! Being kind and showing empathy while uplifting and shining positivity has had a real impact on my growth as a realtor. Allowing my true authentic self to shine through has allowed me to connect with like-minded people and grow a client base that aligns with how I operate.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being honest above all and keeping it real with potential and established clients alike. Honestly is the best policy as my job is to guide my clients and lead them through a massive step in their lives. I don’t take that lightly. Being a part of the DeWolfe Group and having the teammates I have has lifted me up at times I have doubted myself and we work so well as a team, people truly appreciate our dynamic.
