We recently connected with Sebas Art Club and have shared our conversation below.
Sebas Art Club, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I’ve always been passionate about art, starting with drawing and painting as a child. At Coral Gables Senior High, I learned ceramics, and in 2024, I taught myself graffiti, incorporating it into mixed media. Essential skills have been creativity, observation, and adaptability. My biggest obstacles were balancing art with other responsibilities and limited resources. Graphic design is my next skill to learn, and I’m excited to keep growing as an artist.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Sebastian Garzon, the founder of Sebas Art Club, where I bring my passion for art to life through painting, sculpture, fashion, and music. I believe art is a universal language that connects people across cultures and inspires creativity and self-expression. My journey into this world began with a simple love for creating, and over time, it grew into a mission to leave a lasting impact by encouraging others to embrace their unique talents and pursue their dreams.
What makes Sebas Art Club unique is my dedication to crafting meaningful, authentic works that go beyond aesthetics. Each project tells a story, sparks conversation, and fosters connection. Whether it’s a bold fashion piece or an emotive painting, my work is designed to inspire confidence and creativity while uniting people through shared experiences. My goal is to not only create art but also to empower others to see the beauty in themselves and the world around them.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media by consistently posting every day, sharing authentic content, and engaging with my followers. I also made a point to attend events, network, and stay active on social media to expand my reach. By sharing the stories behind my art and connecting with people who resonated with my vision, I was able to create a genuine community.
For those starting out, be authentic, consistent, and share your process, it makes your work relatable. Engage meaningfully with your audience, network, collaborate, and focus on telling your story. Building a presence takes time, but authenticity creates lasting connections.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I completely understand how difficult it can be to lose your inspiration. For me, I went through a similar experience where I didn’t create art for nine years. My inspiration returned when I connected with Burnie, the Miami Heat mascot, and began to see the possibility of being part of art events. Going to these events and believing in myself was key. I realized that I didn’t just have to be a spectator, but that I could be involved too. Trusting in myself again and allowing my creativity to flow has been a powerful part of my journey back into the art world. It’s a reminder that even when you lose your way, there’s always a chance to rediscover your passion.
