Currently, HBT Digital Consulting is working with the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Computing and information. We’re running paid advertising campaigns for lead generation and driving interested prospects to a landing page for more information. Google Search Ads are working really well for us!
In the past 30 days, we’ve driven 123 leads at $25.85 cost per lead. The client is very happy that they have prospects to nurture, and the agency is happy to provide success and great customer management.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
HBT Digital Consulting is a digital advertising agency based in Pittsburgh, PA. We focus exclusively on online advertising and lead generation for small to medium-sized businesses. Our industry verticals include Financial, Education, Legal, Home Services, Technology, and B2B.
RJ Huebert launched HBT Digital Consulting LLC in 2019 and resides in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and earned his Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication Management from the University of South Florida.
Before launching HBT Digital Consulting, RJ worked in a variety of industries including healthcare, education, market research and banking. In his ten-year corporate marketing career, he rose through the marketing ranks to Marketing Director for a world-wide market research firm. His specialty and passion lives in the world of digital marketing, and finding target audiences online.
A lifelong volunteer and business mentor, he served on the Board of Directors for The University of Pittsburgh’s Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter and the American Marketing Association – Pittsburgh Chapter. He’s married to Taylor, has two daughters, Della and Joan, a Lab (Coco), and Jack Russell (Rosie).

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I first launched the business, we did everything under the sun to make a dollar for the company. From website development to social media management to ads, we “did it all.”
We found that what we were best at was running paid online advertising campaigns for lead generation.
Almost six years in, we’ve serviced over 30 clients, managed hundreds of ad campaigns, and millions of dollars in ad spend.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I’ve been networking and putting on events for as long as I remember. Also, I have a strong email newsletter audience. I communicate at minimum once per month to the audience. Recently, I delivered a proposal to a prospect who I hadn’t spoken to in over five years! She read my newsletter, and when she was ready to reach out, she did. I’m looking forward to working with her on a lead gen project!
