We recently connected with Leonid Feinberg and have shared our conversation below.
Leonid , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I am a serial entrepreneur. I’m passionate about two things – building businesses from the ground up and cutting-edge technology. After working on several world-class deeptech projects as a software developer, I started my first company, AcceloWeb, in 2008. In just three years it disrupted the web acceleration market and I sold it for approximately $25 million.
A year later, in 2012, I co-founded CloudEndure and sold it to Amazon Web Services in 2018 for approximately $250 million.
Both AcceloWeb and CloudEndure provided extremely complex software products to enterprise companies. More than just knowledge of new technologies, I gained invaluable experiences and lessons about building trust, that I am now applying to my newest venture, Verax AI.
With CloudEndure, we entered the cloud space at a time when many wondered if public cloud would ever reach mainstream status at the Enterprise. Those concerns were very similar to ones that are being voiced now about generative AI. From the get-go cloud offered obvious benefits such as cost savings and scalability. Yet, many enterprises were slow to adopt. Their hesitancy stemmed from a combination of factors.
Storing and processing data in locations owned and operated by third parties raised worries about exposing sensitive information, potential data breaches and not remaining in compliance with governing regulations.
Additionally, moving to the cloud would mean rethinking IT strategies and infrastructure, a change that threatened traditional job roles and required new skill sets. Finally, legacy systems were deeply embedded in business operations, and migrating to the cloud seemed like a complex and risky endeavor.
Despite the initial resistance, cloud computing adoption eventually accelerated as technologies matured and companies saw successful case studies. While in CloudEndure, we contributed to this transition, both through our innovative products and the number of hours we spent with customers and prospects to help them make the shift. That effort that we and many others were a part of, contributed to the fact that today, the public cloud has become a cornerstone of digital transformation strategies for enterprises across nearly every industry.
Generative AI is the new disruptive technology that has the potential to change how every company operates. We’ve built Verax to help enterprises throughout their generative AI adoption journey by providing a one-stop-shop tool for visibility and control over all their generative AI solutions, both built in-house and purchased from third-party vendors
Verax’s solutions enable enterprises to understand and mitigate the new generation of risks that are associated with generative AI software, such as low value, unexpected and incorrect responses and spiraling costs. Our team has more than 45 years of cumulative experience in the field of technology development.
We are proud that we are not just a software vendor, but we help our customers with their generative AI journey using our considerable AI and enterprise software expertise.

Leonid , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have spent over two decades in the technology sector and held a senior role at CloudEndure later acquired by AWS. These experiences have taught me the importance of building robust and trustable technology. Verax AI’s software solutions help bring enhanced control over the large language models in operational environments. In other words, our products empower organizations to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence both safely and effectively.
I am most proud of our recent accomplishment: securing $7.6 million in seed funding for a development that underscores the strong market demand for our solutions.

How’d you meet your business partner?
My co-founder, Oren Gev, and I have known each other for about nine years. I initially hired him as my right-hand man at CloudEndure, where we worked closely together both before and after the company was acquired by Amazon Web Services. Transitioning into co-founders felt seamless and natural, as we had already built a strong and successful partnership over nearly a decade.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We make sure our senior management (including myself) is directly in touch with our customers and prospects. It’s important our customers know we’ll be on their side both when things are going well and when there are challenges.
Our customers know that their success is our number one priority. Our goal is to have long-term relationships with them. And that means, when necessary, we’re willing to forgo short-term profits so that we can help our customers achieve their milestones. Decades of experience building enterprise-grade technology companies have taught me that partnering with clients is essential to long-term growth.
