Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Seifert.
Hi Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey like many, searching for where my talents and passions aligned. Through exploration and experimentation, I found my niche: decorating parties, especially for my children. It was a revelation, blending my creativity with the joy of creating magical moments for my own family.
Naming my business “Pastelly,” I focused on balloon decor, inspired by the soft, cheerful colors with a pop of red that became my signature. But for me, Pastelly was more than just a business—it was a way to provide my children with experiences I never had myself.
Driven by a desire to give back, I envisioned Pastelly as not only a source of joy and unity at events but also a vehicle for helping less fortunate families. Every event we decorated became an opportunity to make a difference. For each celebration, a portion of the proceeds went towards supporting families in need, both locally and abroad.
Based in the heart of New York City, our red and black van will become a symbol of this dual mission. Spotting it means another family is receiving support and hope for a better future, thanks to the contributions of Pastelly’s customers who believed in spreading joy while making a meaningful impact.
Today, Pastelly is more than just a business; it’s a passion project aimed at creating memories and changing lives. It’s about using my talents and resources to ensure that every celebration not only brings happiness to my children but also contributes to a brighter tomorrow for families in need. As I continue on this journey, I’m reminded that small acts of kindness can have a profound effect on the world around us.
So, when you see Pastelly’s van rolling through the streets of New York, know that it’s not just delivering balloons—it’s delivering dreams, hope, and a promise of a better future for families who need it most.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been far from a smooth road, to be honest. Building Pastelly and pursuing my dream hasn’t been without its challenges. There have been times when I faced setbacks that seemed insurmountable. Financial pressures, finding reliable suppliers, and navigating the competitive market were just a few of the hurdles I encountered.
But through it all, I’ve leaned heavily on my faith in God. He has been my armor, my shield, and my strength. Without His provision and guidance, I wouldn’t have had the perseverance to keep going. There were moments when doubts and anxieties crept in, and I wondered if I should just give up. But each time, I found renewed strength in my faith and a determination to press on.
Being an entrepreneur has not only tested my business skills but also deepened my faith. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of trusting in God’s timing. Through every challenge, I’ve seen His faithfulness and provision in remarkable ways.
So, if you’re looking to grow your faith, I would say becoming an entrepreneur is a powerful journey. It’s not just about building a business—it’s about cultivating a deeper trust in God’s plan for your life, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. It’s about relying on His strength to overcome obstacles and believing that with Him, all things are possible.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Pastelly started after Covid -19 so I researched a lot beforehand. I looked up a lot of unfortunate stories and struggles that other businesses went through and I learned so much from them. I’m a prepper and an OCD person and I always want to have planned a, b, and z. But in some cases, we can always remember that this too shall pass and it’s not there to weaken us but rather strengthen us for what may come.
