I came up with the idea for Princess Budgets LLC during one of the most challenging times in my life. When the pandemic hit, I lost my job, and suddenly, my plans for financial independence and continuing my education felt uncertain. I hadn’t saved enough to cover essential expenses like rent, utilities, and tuition, which left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward.

In my search for financial stability, I discovered Dave Ramsey’s cash envelope budgeting method. It was such a simple yet powerful way to manage money, and as I started using it, I saw a huge improvement in how I handled my finances. The structure and peace it brought me were life-changing, and I realized that if it worked for me, it could help others too. That was the spark that led to the creation of Princess Budgets LLC.

What started as a personal struggle turned into a mission to help others, and now, Princess Budgets LLC has grown into a thriving community focused on financial empowerment.

After graduating with my associate’s degree, I set my sights on attending university and building a brighter future for myself. I was determined to break free from the traditional 9-to-5 job structure, save for school, and work towards financial independence. However, like many others, my plans were disrupted when the pandemic hit, forcing me to rethink my financial habits and goals.

That’s when I discovered the cash envelope method, a simple yet powerful tool that completely transformed how I managed money. I quickly realized how easy it was to overspend when using a card, whereas physically handing over cash made each transaction feel more intentional. This shift gave me a greater sense of control over my finances, making budgeting a more mindful and empowering experience.

This realization inspired me to create Princess Budgets LLC, a business dedicated to helping others take charge of their finances with confidence and purpose. We offer a range of budgeting tools, including budget binders, wallets, savings challenges, stationery, and customizable cash envelopes. Our customizable cash envelopes help manage everyday expenses like groceries and gas while also supporting long-term savings goals like vacations or car maintenance. Additionally, we promote the use of sinking funds, which allow people to gradually save for non-recurring expenses in advance, reducing financial stress.

Have you ever had to pivot?

Building Princess Budgets LLC wasn’t an easy journey. My pivotal moment came when I was juggling the intense demands of building Princess Budgets LLC while pursuing my education. I was balancing my intense science courses with the pressures of running a business. There were many late nights and early mornings trying to manage both school and orders. It often felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day.

At times, the weight of both school and business was overwhelming. During those high-demand periods, especially around the holidays, I was fortunate to have the support of my parents and partner, who helped with everything from packaging orders to logistics. Their support allowed me to stay on track.

Looking back, every challenge played a key role in my growth, teaching me lessons in resilience, time management, and the importance of a solid support system. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but those tough moments made every success feel that much more rewarding.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
