Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Heather Haycock. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Heather, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I grew up competitively dancing. It was the only time I felt free in my body as a high functioning anxious person. I took a break from dance in my late 20’s, with competitive dance came a lot of body image and competing with everyone all the time issues, and I needed a break form that. I had a different job where I truly fell in love with reminding humans how grand they are. I excelled in pulling humans out of loops and stories that kept them small or in constant self doubt and it felt so nourishing for me to see them see themselves differently than what they’ve been told. Shortly after that, i began teaching dance again. This time, without the competition or body image issues and would encourage adults to do the same in my classes… drop the rules of needing to be the best and just have fun. There was something special that happened in my heels classes, in particular. The energy that women were holding themselves in completely transformed when they put their heels on moved their body. I then received my somatic healing certification to understand what was happening, energetically, when I combined regulation, breath, play and dance in heels. And that is when the HEELED method was born… it is a piece of my soul, my purpose on this planet. I am here to energetically transmute women from existing in old energies and give them the space, time and safe environment to exist in their power. It is a combination of nervous system regulation, meditation, somatic exercises, connected community, lots of play and laughing and beginner friendly heels dance.

Heather, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
The HEELED method is in only In Austin right now. I have workshops, weekend retreats and a tight knit community called the bad bitch club where we all genuinely hold space for each other’s power.
My spaces are for women who are desiring to live beyond the energetic structures that were given to her. The world has a way of operating and you come to my spaces to choose and live on a different wavelength for yourself.
Somatics is connecting your mind to your body, so you can feel ease and power in your own skin.
We are more of a participant in our reality than what we’ve been told, and you come to my spaces to live on a higher frequency… one of inner peace, self-love, joy and claiming more for your life.
I have a once a month workshop the first Sunday of every month in Austin and it is a time to release energies, move through emotions and shake off low vibe wavelengths. We do this through meditation, connected community, somatics and beginner friendly heels dance.
It’s a practice to come back to every month, to practice being in your flow state, feel what is feels like to be unbound by circumstances and live beyond the suffocating world.
It’s a safe space to be yourself, show up as you are and give your soul space to thrive. You can stop your personas, expectations and needing to be a certain way… and just let yourself be.
There is such magic created when a group of humans know they don’t need fixing, they just need a space to feel safe to exist as they are.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Maintaining your wavelength. I have many practices that keep me existing beyond the transactional, 3D world. I believe claiming my power, my purpose and staying connected to the divine will always bring me the right clientele who are meant to be in my spaces. Releasing ego from my business has been one of the most freeing things for me… my main job is raise my level consciousness and allow energetic space for abundance to come in.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A big lesson I had to unlearn was that focusing on the end is what created results. When you focus on the end, you’ll do any means to get you there. What i have found, as a spiritual teacher and business owner is that… the more I focus on who I am during the means, the ends falls more into place. It’s not about what you’re doing, it’s about who you’re being. This perspective helped created longevity and sustainability to prevent burnout in my business and in clients.
