Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nora Boror. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nora, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
Im my happies as an artist/creative there has been time not too often. I have wondered how different my life would be had I chose a career, that was not art related.
Im sure I wouldn’t be as happy in my life as I’ve been.
Nothing made me feel like art makes me feel.
Being myself is hard to do at a “regular job.”
Even thou I have had people believe in me and support my creative needs in a regular work environments.
And that was nice and it worked for a little bit.
Until they needed me to do” my regular job “and those moment helped me understand that no matter what I do,
Nothing is as peaceful as working for myself doing what makes me happy.
Life is too short to live the dreams of others.
This really hit home on my last job I was a manger for a small boutique
The own really supported me getting out there and sharing my talents with the world.
When the shop was slow she had made the back a studio for me to paint and make jewerly.
She even went as fair as getting me supplies and holding an art show for myself and other local artist it was great.
and im blessed to have had such a supportive person in my life.
The downside was I had a lot of time to paint because the shop was often slow which cause her to close the the doors.
Which put me in a deep depression. I worked on getting better after it took some time to help me out I moved out state for a bit got a job as paraprofessional. Then I lost my mom which did not help the depression at all.
I moved with some family for about 6.mon, all I did in that time was post videos and chat with friends on instagram Live while making art, jewelry.
At this point it was the beginning of the pandemic and everyone was doing the same. So a friend asked would like to be in an art show online that he was the curator for .
I was like sure at that very moment my life changed forever.
I have been bless to be published internationally and have a few interview done. I never been happier then now doing what makes me happy and live my dream on my terms.
My conclusion is life is to short to live the dreams of others.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I love reading my List is long so I’m only going to name a few which is Ironic the few that I’m going to name only one art book.
A daily creative journal 365 days by Noah Scalin
Thinking grow rich by Napoleon Hill
The philosophers stone By Pablo
Coelho
The instant millionaire by Mark Fisher
the books that impacted me along the way this is only a few of the main ones that I read over and over again.
And I honestly learn something new each time.
