We recently connected with Nancy J. Lewis and have shared our conversation below.

Nancy J., thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?

I am super happy as a business owner. I worked prior to starting my business in corporate America. It was a great launching pad for entrepreneurship. Being a business owner allows you to be in charge of your destiny. I worked hard in corporate now I work hard in my business and love it. I am blessed to walk in my God given destiny waking up every morning doing what I love. Their are peaks and valleys on this journey, but the rewards and feelings I have are incredible. I am so blessed. Their have been times I have tried to go back to corporate when I felt things were not going right, but God always brought me back to what I am supposed to do. Most recently in a class on zoom, I was asked by one of the participants to stay on after all the class members left. She was going through some tough times and I was able to minister and encourage her to keep going. I told her rest if you must but never quit. It was powerful session to share with her and make a difference in her life. That gives me so much joy! God uses me to be an encourager and lift others up. I am blessed!!

Have you ever had to pivot?

PTI has to learn to PIVOT when the pandemic started. PTI had to move from in person training and coaching to doing workshops and coaching virtually. PTI had to learn new skills and techniques to better serve our customers during this unusual time.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I had to demonstrate resilience when I had to go through a divorce. It was difficult time to continue to encourage my customers when I was going through a difficult period in my own life. My faith in God helped me persevere during this difficult season. I am stronger because of it and have been able to minister to some of my clients because of this experience.
