The story behind my mission is deeply personal and multi-layered. At its core, it revolves around my son. I want him to grow up proud to have me as his mother, understanding the value of hard work, and knowing that success requires both passion and persistence. Life doesn’t hand out good things easily, but with dedication and determination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Being a mother is my greatest privilege, and I’m fortunate to have the flexibility to be present in his life. Many people don’t have the luxury of aligning their work schedules with their family needs, but I’ve built a life where I can be hands-on, involved, and consistent as he grows. That balance is invaluable to me.
My work is more than just a job; it’s about connection and purpose. I get to engage with incredible people, hear their stories, and help create spaces that bring them joy and comfort. Knowing I’ve made a positive impact in their homes gives me a deep sense of fulfillment that goes far beyond a paycheck.
Ultimately, I want my son to see that it’s possible to build a life you’re proud of—one that balances ambition, passion, and family. I want him to understand that while the road may not always be easy, hard work and perseverance make every step worthwhile.

Hello everyone, my name is Caitlyn Goshorn, and I’m the proud owner of Caitlyn’s Cleaning. One of the greatest blessings in my life has been the opportunity God gave me to be a mother to my incredible 7-year-old son. He’s my daily inspiration, the reason I get up every morning with purpose, and the heart behind everything I do.
My passion for cleaning stems from my upbringing. My mother was a construction cleaner, and as a child, I frequently accompanied her to job sites. I watched her work tirelessly, moving from home to home, setting an incredible example of hard work and dedication. At 14, she handed me my first duster and rag, teaching me the ropes, and by 16, I was managing my own jobs for her clients. Those early experiences shaped my work ethic and love for this profession.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from restaurants and offices to hospitals, hotels, and, of course, private homes. Today, I specialize in deep cleaning and general residential cleaning. My pricing is always transparent and flexible, ensuring my clients get the best value for their needs. I work between five and seven days a week, always looking to build my schedule and connect with more amazing people.
What I love most about my work is the trust my clients place in me. Being invited into someone’s home is a privilege I never take for granted. Beyond cleaning, I aim to transform how my clients feel when they walk through their doors. By alleviating some of the weight and stress of daily life, I help create spaces where they can truly relax and focus on what matters most.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy I’ve found for growing my clientele has undoubtedly been word of mouth. My approach is simple: I treat every client’s home as if it were my own, giving each job my absolute best effort. When you consistently provide excellent service, clients naturally want to share their experience with friends and family.
Word of mouth is powerful—if someone trusts the person recommending you, they’re more likely to reach out and give you a chance. From there, the connections continue to grow. People love to talk, and delivering consistent, high-quality service gives them something great to share.
Of course, social media also plays a role, but nothing compares to the trust and credibility that comes from a personal recommendation. For me, the key is treating every client with the same care and attention as the last, letting the results speak for themselves.

Communication with clients is essential.
From the start, it’s important to emphasize that open communication matters to you—whether they’re thrilled with your work or have concerns, encouraging them to share their feedback helps you improve and build trust. Addressing issues promptly or receiving genuine compliments goes a long way in fostering strong relationships.
I genuinely enjoy building meaningful connections with the people I work for, and I’ve been fortunate to form many over the years. From being invited to countless holidays to sharing real conversations about life, family, love, loss, and faith, these relationships are a rewarding part of my work.
My advice? Be transparent and authentic with your clients. Let them see who you truly are and create a space where they feel comfortable engaging with you on their own terms. Open and honest communication is the foundation of lasting, positive relationships.
