We recently connected with Timothy Chalcraft and have shared our conversation below.
Timothy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
With the company Mush Love that I co-own we are always striving to show our people that we love and appreciate them! We love to give free gifts with purchases of consultations or walk the streets and give free microdoses and talk with people about mushrooms.
We are different from most mushroom companies where we have a community of like-minded individuals with The Ayahuasca LOVE Collective, that we put on free events for the community. We have free weekly integration and my business partner Chrissy and myself will come meet with you for any and all questions you may have or to just show you love.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I run a Facebook page called The Ayahuasca LOVE Collective that is a community of people that are seeking healing from plant medicines and all other modalities of healing. We hold events, some paid, some donation based, and some free. We also hold ceremonies and retreats. We understand in these times that keeping a strong community together is so vital. It really does take a village.
I have recently joined forces with Alex Embry owner of Mush Love LLC. I am also partnered with Christine Evans and Brandon Rutt. We grow over 100 strains of psychedelic mushrooms and are going to become one of the first mushroom dispensaries to open in the state of Colorado.
Right now we are mimicking what a dispensary will soon look like. We have a store front Zenith Moon Company, owned by Shay Koloff at 2123 N Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO. Our other location is Sweet Wellness Center, owned by Siara Sweet at 7905 Zenobia St, Westminster, CO.
We are not going to be your normal mushroom dispensary where you will go in and leave. Sure that will happen for many, but for others we have a community and other ways to show you that you in fact are the medicine. So mush love!
How’d you meet your business partner?
As Alex Embry tells it they saw me on Facebook and saw I was slinging that love and good energy. He saw how active and loving I am with the community. So we got to talking and had a weekend where they came over and I met them for the first time and we just jived!
We are complete opposite of the spectrums on every level. I am the outgoing, let me love you and fill your cup type and they are more business and the mind of the operation.
Brandon and Chrissy came along 2 months after Alex and I started working together. Funny enough Chrissy’s energy and personality type is similar to mine and Alex and Brandon’s are eerily similar.
The meld of four beautiful souls, bringing to the table their unique own gifts. It’s what makes our company tick. The love, support, and compassion we all have for one another.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Right now our biggest strategy is that we hand out a weeks worth of free microdoses. It has our QR code on it and logo. We also are teaming up with wellness centers and holistic shops to display our products, so that people can scan a QR code within their store and schedule a support session.
We are working with WHealthy Unlimited, a sober community in Colorado Springs to create events with and be vendors together at others. We hope to be able to show that for some, psychedelics can help with addiction. I myself am an example that addicts can recover with the help and/or while using psychedelics.
Also looking to get into more classic store fronts. It would be a display with our fake products under lock and key and a QR code sending them to book a support session. Our attorney is behind us and we are excited to help revolutionize the mushroom industry!
