We recently connected with Michael Briggs and have shared our conversation below.
Michael , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, what do you think about family businesses? Would you want your children or other family members to one day join your business?
A successful family business thrives on shared vision and trust but often faces challenges like balancing relationships with professional decisions. Clear communication, adaptability, and a strong support system are key to navigating ups and downs while ensuring long-term success.

Michael , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Amedeo Solutions started with a simple idea: to prioritize human connection in an industry increasingly dominated by automation. Growing up in Tri-Cities, Washington, I learned the value of relationships early on. With over 20 years of experience managing freight flow and merchandising teams at Lowe’s and Home Depot, I decided it was time to use my skills to build something of my own.
When I launched Amedeo Solutions, it was just me, a PO Box in Kennewick, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Starting a business wasn’t easy. There were long days and even longer nights, but I leaned on my belief in community to make a difference. From process serving to mobile notary and field inspections, I made sure every client interaction felt personal and genuine.
Over time, the hard work paid off. Attorneys and law firms began relying on our services, especially with bulk discounts and same-day options. We earned a perfect 5-star rating on Google and a reputation for affordability, offering protective order deliveries starting at just $75.
Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Amedeo Solutions is more than just a business—it’s a reflection of my journey. From humble beginnings, I’ve built something that stays true to its roots: honesty, hard work, and a dedication to human connection.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building Amedeo Solutions’ social media following was a journey of patience, strategy, and genuine connection. When I started, I knew that social media would be key to spreading the word about my business, but I wasn’t an expert. So, I began by researching and experimenting, learning what worked and what didn’t.
I focused on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, where I could connect with the local community and professionals in my field. At first, it was about consistency. I made a point to post regularly, sharing not just my services but also a glimpse into my story, values, and the people I serve. I wanted followers to see the face behind the business.
Next, I leaned into creating value. I posted tips about process serving, insights for legal professionals, and behind-the-scenes moments that humanized the brand. Engaging with comments and messages became a priority, as I knew that real connection starts with genuine conversations.
Collaborations and community involvement also played a big role. I partnered with local businesses, participated in events, and even used trending hashtags and challenges to expand my reach. Slowly but surely, the following grew—not just in numbers, but in loyalty.
Now, with a solid social media presence, I see how important those early efforts were. By staying authentic, engaging with my audience, and offering value, I’ve built more than just a following; I’ve built a community. Social media isn’t just a tool for marketing—it’s become an extension of Amedeo Solutions’ mission to connect with people on a human level.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
When I first started Amedeo Solutions, I thought that being a good business owner meant keeping emotions out of my decisions. After all, isn’t that what we’re taught? To stay logical, detached, and focused on the bottom line? But as time went on, I realized that approach wasn’t working for me—or my business.
One day, I had a choice to make: take on a large, high-paying client who didn’t align with my values or stick to smaller jobs that felt more personal. The logical choice was obvious. But something inside me hesitated. I couldn’t shake the feeling that sacrificing my principles for a paycheck would hurt in the long run.
That decision became a turning point. I chose to walk away from the bigger client, trusting my gut and staying true to the mission of Amedeo Solutions: building human connections. To my surprise, the choice paid off. My clients noticed the integrity behind my decisions, and it strengthened my reputation.
I learned that emotions aren’t weaknesses—they’re signals. They remind you of what matters and guide you when the numbers alone can’t. Unlearning the idea that emotions don’t belong in business was one of the hardest lessons, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding. It’s why Amedeo Solutions is more than just a business—it’s a reflection of who I am.
