In the 1980’s I started building electric guitars and because of the need to set myself apart from the rest of the manufacturers and builders, I focused on the aspect of an instrument’s sustain. My vision of the requirements needed to achieve the maximum amount of sustain was to make the instrument as solid and connected to the individual parts as possible so that the instrument would be as close to one solid piece as it could be. Because of the fact that guitar bridges and bass guitar bridges were poorly made and were one of the weakest links in making an instrument solid, I focused on designing a better bridge. The KSM Foundation bridge was the end result after years of reworks and finally going through the patent process. This bridge was originaly designed to function on my own guitar design, but I found that almost all basses could utilize the KSM designed bass bridge without modifications to the bass guitar. Innovation is so important to me. I’m currently pretty stoked on what we’re doing to make our builds even lighter. Weight is without a doubt the next big conversation in this industry (there are even rumors of California making camper vans pull over at weigh stations). Most campers out there are nearing or exceeding the legal weight limit, before adding the people, pets, and gear for their trip! The most innovative thing I’ve done in my career is redefining how social media can function as a network. With my cannabis-based media company, Wimp Media, my business partner Danny Blaze and I set out to transform Instagram into our own platform—creating content that mimics the structure and feel of vintage television. When we started in May 2022, social media wasn’t a space for TV-style content, and even today, I rarely see anything quite like what we do. What makes our work stand out is the level of quality we achieve without a high-end camera or production team. Every piece of content is filmed and edited using just iPhones, with a two-man team—me and Danny—handling everything from concept to execution. By pushing the creative boundaries of digital media, we’ve built something truly one of a kind. Read more>>

Innovation in my career hasn’t typically come from a single, great idea but from solving many small, real-world challenges that have shaped my business remarkably. One of the most innovative things I do is redefining how brands can market themselves to younger demographics through pet content. Traditionally, influencer marketing has focused on people as the face of campaigns, but I’ve taken a different approach by making my two dogs, Remy and Rio, the stars! This wasn’t just a creative decision—it was also strategic. Read more>>
