Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christiann D’Angelo . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christiann, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
For me I was around 18-19 years old I had moved away from my hometown DC to pursue a culinary degree. After I ended up in Florida I just met a couple people and just kind of really starting to recording and learning how to make beats off of FL studio and after that I can just ran with it! and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. I come from a very musical family background so I knew that this maybe would have been my calling one day so I’m glad I didn’t shy away from it.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I just started my own independent a label “Stay Safe Entertainment” where we focus mainly on good vibes and dope energy where we create some of the most amazing music the world has ever heard. So as far as for me being a R&B artist & producer i really take pride in bringing R&B music to life and you know making it feel enjoyable for everyone especially in the new age where you know music is changing every week now it seems. So my job when I work with artist is to be different at all cost. Sometimes you could be in a room with people that you never even met before and your job is to literally give them a hit record. So you gotta bring good vibes and also have the musical ability to adapt to create some amazing records and also you develop good relationship in the process just cant put yourself in a box.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
As far as resources I would have wanted to learn better communication skills when I was a little younger. Honestly I feel like things would be a little different and you know you can’t dwell in the past but communicating is so important. What I learned to be the biggest thing artist, producer‘s, writers just anybody in this field of music is that sometimes people don’t use the right form of communication. Of course you learn thru mistakes which I definitely have. so honestly I feel like that’s the biggest resource I feel like I wanted to learn early on.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
There’s a thing in my family where we’ve had a lot of musicians try to make It happen. I even have a little sister right now who’s even doing her thing in Orlando right now (UnoSg) and really I just want the world to see how talented my family is. We all wanna break generational curses but I think as far as for me I just want to you know prove a point. Show everyone it’s ok to fall but you gotta get back up, you could lose a deal tomorrow but hey I gotta another one on the way it’s just all perseverance. Of course in 2022 and beyond it isn’t gonna get any easier but with a lot of hard work and just a little bit of patience you can really go a long way.
