We recently connected with Jacob Whitley and have shared our conversation below.
Jacob, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
A clear vision, and a relentless mindset.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have always loved movies and wanted to be a writer. It wasn’t until I was about 12 that I went to the Alamo and saw a film called “Mission Park” being shot. So, being in absolute awe, I managed to meet the Director, Bryan Ramirez, and we’ve kept in touch since. Him and his wife, Amanda, have been absolutely amazing and a very big reason why I even pick up a camera.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is just to enjoy myself and do what I love. Obviously, I would like to make big films, but that’s not what drives me to do what I do.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I lost my cousin to suicide back in January of 2016. That was probably the lowest i have ever been, but it lead me to write what would eventually become my first film. Using that pain to create something beautiful. Something that is my own, but can very well be anyones experience.
