We recently connected with Kassidy Jack and have shared our conversation below.
Kassidy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe success requires planning, dedication, and consistency. You can have immense talent or a wide network of connections, but I see success as an ongoing journey rather than a single destination. It’s not just about achieving a goal; it’s a mindset and a way of working. To continue growing and reaching new heights, you need intentional planning, disciplined dedication, and consistent effort to achieve meaningful progress and results.
For example, when I first started my career as a content creator, I had no schedule. Some weeks, I would post several times, and then I’d disappear for a month. Because of this inconsistency, I wasn’t seeing the growth I wanted. Once I created a calendar for filming, editing, and posting, I became more consistent and started seeing progress. I’ve followed this routine for over a year now, making adjustments to accommodate life changes like work and personal commitments. This process has not only improved my content but also reflects my dedication to maintaining a strong social presence.

Kassidy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a content creator, social media specialist, and writer, and I’ve loved creating in these ways for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I wrote plays—not the best ones, of course—but I was always captivated by the idea of storytelling. I even planned an entire sketch comedy show for YouTube. It never aired, but that passion for video content and having my own platform has been with me since before I fully understood what it meant.
Over the course of my early career as a social media specialist, I’ve had the opportunity to bring my skills to a variety of companies and organizations, both large and small. These include the Chicago Tribune, Shedavi, The Black Girl Social Club, ColorComm, Play Live Golf, and Hidden Curriculum. My work has involved curating content for social platforms, creating newsletters, and more.
As a content creator, I’ve collaborated with brands like Miss Lola, Good Molecules, Tymo, JustFab, NYX Cosmetics, Benefit Cosmetics, and others, creating UGC and influencer content such as unboxings, testimonials, and photos. What excites me the most is working with Black-owned brands. I’ve built meaningful relationships with founders and CEOs, and to be only 25 and in such close proximity to incredible minds is a true blessing.
Lastly, while my writing career hasn’t spanned as many outlets, I’m proud to have been a freelance writer for Scholastic’s Classroom Magazines for the past four years. It’s surreal to work with a company that played such a significant role in my childhood! I love the opportunity to interview fascinating people and craft their stories for young readers. Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, and working with Scholastic allows me to live out the dream I once had of pursuing journalism in my undergraduate years.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is knowing that I have the opportunity to inspire others. I’m never shy about where I’m from—a very small town in Louisiana called Vacherie, an unincorporated community of about 5,000 people. Growing up, I never imagined the opportunities I’ve had in my career because it’s hard to envision something when you’ve never seen it.
That’s why it’s incredibly fulfilling to know that younger people from my community look up to me and feel proud—not just for my sake, but because by seeing my journey, they realize they can go even further. They can surpass me, achieve more, and become even greater inspirations for those who come after them.
STEM fields are often highly prioritized, while the arts are sometimes dismissed as unsustainable. But in today’s world, creative careers are not only viable—they’re thriving. And I believe this growth will only continue, giving future generations more opportunities to turn their passion into something impactful.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I definitely have a few goals, but ultimately, my mission is to leave a lasting legacy. Whether it’s through the stories I help tell, the new spaces I contribute to building, or the brands I assist in growing, I want my work and presence to be remembered, appreciated, and truly one of a kind. I aim to create something so impactful that it can’t be duplicated.
