We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lance Daniel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lance below.
Lance, appreciate you joining us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I was broke. And I mean broke. I had $1.29 in my bank account and the loose change that’d fallen in between the couch cushions.
It was Covid times and I was recovering from surgery.
I needed money for cat food for my dear, TrixTKat.
I was worried I’d end up living in my old car at Venice Beach spending my days screaming about religion. (I never lost my sense of humor).
An acquaintance from Florida, I met on Clubhouse called to check on me. She was strapped herself, but sent me $20.00 via PayPal to buy cat food..
That twenty was like a thousand to me., I was so grateful that a mostly stranger would share a part of the little money she had.
Her kindness was and is not forgotten. Eventually, I got back on my feet. Today, I pass that kindness on and on. I recalled it when I donated money to those in need from the fires. I feel one must give to receive.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a teller of stories. I speak, write, create, and act. Mostly with.dry humor.
I like to make people laugh. The world needs more laughter.
During the week, I tell the stories of my clients who’ve been injured in accidents. I tell them to insurance adjusters, defense counsel, judges, and juries. To great success if I say so myself. And I just did!
I luv to write comedies and sometimes dramas. Writing and acting energizes me. In fact all creative endeavors interest and energize me. OK, not cosplay, but most all.
Initially, I got into acting in college to meet girls.
I thought it’d help me overcome my shyness and gain confidence. It did but I still didn’t really met girls at least not the ones I wanted. (Don’t worry, I’m not superficial anymore).
Many years later, I was taking a walk in the park. I stopped and thought, “So this is my life?” What do I really want to do? The answer came fast: move to L.A. and meet people in the industry. This revelation was a bit of a shock because for years I said to myself “Acting isn’t even a real job!”
I’m so happy to took the risk. I’ve met so many wonderful people in L.A. and in the industry.
I’ve also written and produced a comedy short and am actively working on another which I’ll also profuce..
Now, if only I can get one of those wonderful industry peeps to Green-light one of my projects— or three!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In short, I have passion for story telling. It’s that passion that’s sustains me.
I moved to L.A. not knowing anyone, not having connections. Covid hit, I was diagnosed with cancer, I went broke. Despite all that, I know you’ve got to hang in there. The big break could be just a DM away!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I show up prepared, ready to work, take on challenges, and appreciate everyone’s efforts. I’m honest, reliable, trustworthy, empathetic and funny.,
