Jennifer, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
My belief about success is quite simple and deeply rooted in compassion. When we approach everything with human kindness, the benefits can be truly transformative and endless. I find immense joy in engaging with my community, creating activities and events that bring people together, making sure everyone feels welcomed and valued. For me, that’s what success looks like.
I’ve worked hard to create spaces where anyone can feel safe, seen, and loved. Along this journey, I’ve learned that I’m not perfect; I have stumbled many times. Each fall has taught me valuable lessons, and I’ve picked myself up, embraced my imperfections, and continued to grow. I want you to know that if you’re facing challenges too, you’re not alone. We’re all on this journey together, learning, sharing, and fostering kindness in our communities.

At just 15, I took my first step into the working world at the local dry cleaners. This was only the beginning of my journey that included a myriad of jobs at various malls, from bookseller to makeup artist. Each role taught me invaluable lessons and prepared me for bigger challenges ahead. My path may not have followed the traditional route of a college education, but I embraced every opportunity to learn and grow in the world of customer service.
After years of honing my customer service skills, I embarked on a journey as a travel agent, where I discovered the exhilarating joy of helping others explore the breathtaking wonders of our country. It was a beautiful realization that I have a passion for solving puzzles—crafting intricate journeys from Point A to Point B while carefully considering every detail.
While immersing myself in the travel industry, I kept my love for makeup artistry alive, creating stunning wedding day looks that brought joy to brides on their special days. As I observed the moments unfolding around me, I realized I could play a pivotal role in alleviating stress for brides. This realization sparked the fire within me to become a certified wedding and event coordinator.
Through this journey, I learned that I am most passionate about community and large scale events and have found that combining my passions with a genuine desire to serve others can make a meaningful impact in my community.
With over 30 years of experience, I’ve acquired invaluable insights into connecting with people and creating lasting positive impressions. Every experience, no matter how small, can shape your future in profound ways. Life is full of unexpected twists, but with determination and a genuine willingness to learn, it’s absolutely possible to carve out a fulfilling career and inspire others along the way.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe that when others witness my unwavering passion and relentless dedication, it ignites their trust in my ability to create a profound impact in their lives! There’s an exhilarating energy in pursuing what I love and knowing that my commitment inspires those around me to believe in the possibility of transformation!
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I’m enchanted by the wisdom of Eleanor Roosevelt, Voltaire, Radiohead, and the poetic gem that is Rumi! Imagine me curled up with a cup of tea, immersed in their captivating ideas, while the sun and moon cheer me on from above. I’m all about jamming to tunes that soothe my soul and getting lost in stories that add a sprinkle of magic to my day. Fairytales? Yes, please! They’re like whimsical adventures waiting to unfold! Plus, I sometimes peek at my local news sources for a dose of reality, just to keep things spicy. Life’s a delightful mix of deep thoughts and lighthearted fun.
