We were lucky to catch up with Brandy Adams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brandy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The first time I watched Comicview. I had to be in bed at 8:30. But, Comicview came in at 10:00. So, I would sneak in the living room turn the T.V. Down real low and get super close so I could watch it. I literally studied each comic.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a professional stand up comedian. Based out of Houston, Tx. I’ve done comedy for over 15 years . I’ve acted in three films the most recent “When Sis’tus Cry”. I’ve toured nationwide and locally. I’m pretty funny!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Success! Being able to achieve a status of success to where I am able to help others!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
People are fighting battles among each other that has absolutely nothing to do with you! You create your own journey. You should be able to work with whoever you want whenever you want! Like my red lady always told me “don’t take no wooden nickels “
