Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alisha Caillie-fleet. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alisha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
Scaling my real estate business has been an incredible journey of growth, resilience, and purpose. Even if I didn’t understand the purpose sometimes, it was about just getting out there and just doing the work. It certainly didn’t happen overnight. My business changed when i finally took the leap to simply believe in myself. Then it scaled ever bigger when I decided to switch to EXP Realty. Since joining EXP Realty my business has increased 293%.
Having been in business for almost 11 years, there have been many relationships made, contracts written, and many situations and scenarios that I have encountered. Many lessons and obstacles to learn and navigate and every day you learn more. The amount of knowledge you learn from doing hundreds of transactions is mind-boggling. From understanding the legal components to business science, to the psychology of real estate, to understanding clients emotions, triggers, and needs, to strong negotiation tactics, to setting boundaries and expectations through doing and learning.
Becoming an expert in real estate—or any business—doesn’t happen overnight or by simply taking a course, reading a book, or buying or selling a home. Expertise comes from experience. You learn by doing, through repetition, and by staying consistent and authentic in your actions and interactions. Growth also comes from a commitment to lifelong learning, whether through courses, conferences, or continuing education. Education doesn’t always mean formal classes or long programs. It can take the form of workshops, group accountability sessions, podcasts, reading, exploring new niches, testing different marketing strategies, or engaging in self-help techniques that improve your mindset and performance.
Be present and proactive. Host open houses, make cold calls, attend agent tours and inspections, shadow experienced agents, find a coach or accountability partner, and time block your schedule. Growth often requires doing the tasks you’d rather avoid. Push through discomfort because that’s where growth happens. Once you master one area, challenge yourself with the next thing that feels outside your comfort zone.
Keep trying new approaches and expanding your reach to unlock your full potential. Remember: “Comfort is the enemy of growth!”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
What sets me apart is my educational approach. Every step of the process, from start to finish, is purposeful and designed to empower my clients. My focus isn’t solely on pitching or selling—it’s about building meaningful connections and ensuring my clients fully understand every aspect of their buying and selling journey.
I prioritize educating and clarifying what my clients need to know because I understand the psychology of buyers and sellers. A confused mind never buys, and a confused seller doesn’t profit. I recognize that a home is their largest asset and purchasing a home is one of the biggest investments they will ever make. By providing clear, comprehensive guidance, I help my clients feel confident and informed about their decisions.
Ultimately, my goal is to ensure my clients are not only well-prepared but also truly happy with their investment. This personalized, educational approach is what drives long-term satisfaction and sets me apart from others in the industry. To be recognized as a professional, you must present yourself professionally.

If you have multiple revenue streams in your business, would you mind opening up about what those streams are and how they fit together?
Absolutely! My business thrives on multiple revenue streams, which not only fuel its growth but also allow me to deliver greater value to my clients. Being part of eXp Realty has provided countless opportunities beyond traditional real estate transactions. Here’s how:
Commission Income: Helping clients buy and sell homes remains the heart of my business. It’s what I love doing every day and the foundation of my work.
Stock Awards: eXp rewards agents with company stock for achievements such as closing deals, reaching milestones, and contributing to the company’s success. It’s an excellent way to build long-term wealth while scaling my business.
Revenue Share: By introducing other agents to eXp Realty, I earn residual income. It’s a win-win opportunity—I expand my network while empowering others to succeed.
Mentorship Program: Mentoring newer agents is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Not only do I enjoy sharing my knowledge, but it also serves as an additional income stream.
ICON Agent Award: Reaching top production levels qualifies me for the ICON Agent Award, reimbursing my annual cap in company stock. This incentive motivates me to consistently perform at my best.
BMO Referral Partners: Through eXp’s partnership with BMO, I can connect clients to financial services that align with their needs, enhancing their real estate experience.
Military Relocations through BGRS: As a military spouse, I have a unique connection to the Canadian Armed Forces community. Specializing in military relocations through BGRS allows me to assist families during transitions, which has become a significant part of my business.
Referral Network: I’ve built a strong network of professionals, including agents, accountants, and immigration specialists. These partnerships not only support my clients but also open additional income opportunities.
Lead Generation Tools: eXp provides a powerful lead generation platform called KvCore.
Revenos: This program drives high-quality buyer and seller referrals directly to eXp agents. It includes services like eXp Relocation, eXp REO (Real Estate Owned), eXp Affinity, and Making It Rain, connecting agents to a robust referral ecosystem through industry relationships.
Although, I am not taking advantage of all income streams just yet, I am actively building my business and exploring opportunities to integrate these additional revenue streams as I grow within eXp Realty.

Any fun sales or marketing stories?
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in marketing is the power of returning to the basics. In the early days of my business, I focused on building strong, authentic relationships by reaching out directly to clients. It was simple, effective, and it set the tone for my success.
As my business grew, I began experimenting with digital strategies like Meta ads, social media campaigns, and Google Ads. While these methods introduced new opportunities, they also shifted my attention away from what had initially driven results. I found myself wrapped up in the allure of modern tools, unintentionally neglecting the personal touch that had always been my strength.
It became clear when I looked at my pipeline one day and saw a gap—a reminder that even the best tools can’t replace direct, meaningful connection. That moment was a turning point. I decided to integrate new strategies without abandoning the principles that had guided me from the start.
The experience shaped my approach to growth. Success isn’t about chasing every new trend—it’s about staying anchored in what you know works while layering on new approaches to enhance, not replace, the basics. This mindset continues to guide how I serve my clients and grow my business every day.
Now, if you are looking for a all time funny story- I got one for you………..
