We recently connected with Sharon Feiereisen and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharon , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The Mom Club was started after October 7 when I moved to New York City alone with both my kids from Tel Aviv (my husband had to stay in Israel for work). Even though I’m originally from NYC, after a decade in Israel, I didn’t have much of a “mom community.” I found myself in a bunch of “mommy and me” classes surrounded by nannies longing to connect with other moms. The Mom Club became a way to connect with other women, while entertaining the kids, raising awareness for Jewish causes and giving parenting/lifestyle brands unique access to a highly responsive audience through tailored activations.
Since The Mom Club started we’ve partnered with so many amazing people and brands. Most recently we worked with Gotham Gym to launch their Kids Boxing Program. All the parents in attendance got a pair of Reebok FloatZig 1 shoes and all the toddlers and kids got a pair of Reebok Classics. It really took the class to the next level – even the Gotham Gym trainer who taught the class was obsessing over her pair of FloatZig 1 (shootout to Lindsay Wyatt who was amazing).
Beyond that, we’ve dripped in sweat at Fuze House in matching Terez sets for a “mom only” workout and have done countless music and sensory classes for babies, toddlers and children. In fact, we have two amazing ones coming up for anyone who would like to join. In New York we are teaming up with Music Together for a class that will come complete with a gift bag filled with goodies from brands like Gruns, Sabon, Little Spoon and Tim Tam Tummy and in Miami we’re working with Devos Music Academy (I met the founder through The Mom Club!) and will be pampering guests with goodies from brands like B.box and Tubby Todd.
As someone who spent years trying to conceive via IVF it was also very important to reach women in the TTC (“trying to conceive”) cohort. With that we also have an event coming up where we’re working with RMA of New York, infertility counselor Rena M Gower and Chabad Sutton to organize a Challah Bake using Seed + Mill artisanal halva (in celebration of the popular NYC spot’s soon-to-be-launched cookbook). The event is taking place next month for anyone that wants to join. In Judaism it’s believed that if women bake challah with someone or something in mind, it has the power to change the course of natural events.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
It’s critical to have a supportive network of women to navigate pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood. The Mom Club’s goal is to foster these connection by hosting “mommy and me” and “mom-only” events. We partner with some of the world’s biggest brands and early-childhood educators for our events. Every event includes an amazing gift bags to pamper the women attending while offering brands unique access to a highly responsive audience through tailored activations, product showcases, and brand experiences that align with The Mom Club’s values of connection, wellness and growth.
For every event a portion of ticket sales are donated to charities that promote the core Jewish belief of tikkun olam.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
When I started The Mom Club I had nothing – I literally just sent out an email blast to every woman I knew that might be interested in joining a mommy and me class – with actual moms, not nannies – and started an Instagram page and Whatsapp community.
Because I spend so many years as a writer and editor focusing on parentings, health, wellness and general lifestyle topics I had a lot of brand contacts to kick things off from the event side. I reached out to my network and just hoped for the best!
Once things started to gain steam I trademarked the name, hired someone to build a website and started to scale the events. I also expanded from NYC to the Hamptons, Miami Beach and soon Boca Raton.
Beyond events women and men (yes, we have The Dad Club) – connect via The Mom Club Whatsapp community chat open to anyone looking to ask questions, find out about events, promote their local business or anything related to parenthood and beyond. We also have The Mom Club podcast. I know there are too many podcasts to count, but I truly believe The Mom Club one features unique voices like, most recently, French C-section pioneer Dr. Israel Hendler (you have to listen to believe how miraculous this C-section is – the recovery is comparable to vaginal birth).
Also it’s worth mentioning that The Mom Club isn’t just for women who are already mothers. We’ve partnered with One Tribe and BabyMommaFit to throw an event for pregnant women pampering them with baby carriers from Ergobaby, postpartum recovery kits from Belly Bandit and more.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I think one of the most important things I’ve done is not focus on how many people are in my community or following along on Instagram, but the quality of the connections that are being made. Making friends as an adult is not easy and I’ve met some of my best friends at events I’ve planned. In fact, my logo was even created by a mom in the community (shoutout to Lindsay!) and my website was made by the cousin of a mom who attend The Mom Club’s first event in Miami (she has a fab new hair salon Lahh Salon https://www.lahhsalon.com/). So much organic goodness can come from just getting together with like-minded women over a “mommy and me” music class, challah bake, workout class…
