Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shradha Vora. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shradha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
If I could go back in time, I absolutely wish I had started my business sooner. Let me share the backstory.
I moved from Texas to India just before COVID hit, planning to stay temporarily. Then the pandemic struck, and like many others, I found myself in an unexpected situation—stuck in India. As time passed, I made the decision to stay here permanently. I didn’t want to go back to the routine of looking for a job.
Before this, I worked in school and clinic settings, gaining valuable experience in supporting children with developmental needs. But being in India, I realized something crucial—the urgent need for therapy services. Here, therapy is often a taboo subject. Conversations about having a child on the spectrum or seeking therapy are shrouded in secrecy, and parents often struggle in isolation, unsure where to turn for help.
I started receiving calls from parents, asking me for guidance on where to take their kids or what steps to take. That was a pivotal moment for me. I saw a clear gap that needed to be filled—parents needed a resource, a safe space, and a supportive community. That’s when I knew I had to create this website and build a community that could provide the answers, support, and services these families desperately needed.
Looking back, if I had started this earlier, I could have reached and helped so many more families by now. But at the same time, the challenges and experiences I faced shaped this journey and gave me the clarity to move forward with purpose. I wouldn’t trade the lessons I learned, but yes, I do wish I had taken the leap a little sooner.
Now, I’m here, committed to breaking taboos, building awareness, and creating a space where families can find the guidance and support they deserve.

Shradha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Shradha, the founder of Embrace, an organization dedicated to supporting families with children who have developmental disorders such as autism, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. My journey into this space has been deeply personal and fueled by a passion for making a meaningful difference.
I began my career working in school and clinic settings in Texas, where I spent over 17 years supporting children with diverse needs. I gained hands-on experience in behavior therapy, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to help children reach their potential. When I moved to India just before the COVID-19 pandemic, I was at a crossroads in my life and career. The move and the global shutdown gave me the time and space to reflect on my purpose.
What struck me during this time was the immense need for accessible therapy and support services in India. Therapy is still a taboo here, and parents often face stigma when seeking help for their children. Many are left feeling lost and unsupported, not knowing where to turn. I started receiving calls from parents asking for advice—where to take their kids, what therapies to pursue, and how to navigate the challenges of raising a neurodivergent child. These conversations became the foundation for Embrace.
What We Do
At Embrace, we aim to break the stigma surrounding therapy and neurodiversity. We provide a range of services to support families, including:
– Behavior Therapy: Tailored interventions to address developmental and behavioral challenges.
– Parent Coaching: Empowering parents with tools and strategies to support their children effectively.
– Inclusive Education Guidance: Helping families identify and access schools that accommodate diverse learning needs.
– Community Support: Building a network where parents can connect, share experiences, and find solidarity.
– Awareness Workshops: Conducting sessions for educators, parents, and communities to foster understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity.
What Sets Us Apart
Our approach is rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and practical solutions. We’re not just a service provider—we’re a community that understands the unique challenges families face and offers a safe space where they feel seen and supported. I believe what truly sets Embrace apart is our commitment to breaking taboos and fostering a culture of acceptance. We’re not just helping children thrive; we’re also empowering families to navigate their journeys with confidence and hope.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m incredibly proud of the community we’ve built through Embrace. Seeing parents come together, share their stories, and support one another has been deeply rewarding. I’m also proud of the impact we’ve had in spreading awareness and changing perspectives about therapy and neurodiversity in a society where such conversations were once hushed.
What I Want You to Know About Embrace
Embrace is more than an organization—it’s a mission. We’re here to help families unlock hope and possibility with every step of their journey. Whether you’re looking for guidance, therapy services, or simply a community that understands, Embrace is here for you. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My experience in both Texas and India has been key to building my reputation. With over 17 years in school and clinic settings, I developed effective skills to support children with developmental and behavioral challenges. When I moved to India, I adapted these skills to address local needs, offering stigma-free, compassionate support in a culture where therapy is often taboo.
Positive results and word-of-mouth recommendations from families in both Texas and India have been pivotal. Combining expertise with empathy and a genuine passion for helping families has set me apart and earned their trust.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best sources have been word-of-mouth referrals and social media. Families share their positive experiences, and my social media presence helps spread awareness about my services, making it easier for new clients to connect with me.
