Inna, appreciate you joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
How I Returned to Modeling: From Doubts to Confidence
As a teenager, I decided to try my luck and attended a casting at a modeling agency. Naive and full of hope, I thought they might notice me, but instead, I was told I was “too fat.” Those words crushed my confidence and completely killed my interest in pursuing modeling at the time.
Years went by, and as I grew older, I started getting occasional invitations to fashion events, shows, and photoshoots. At first, I treated them as one-off opportunities, but over time, they reignited something inside me—a desire to give modeling another chance, this time with a new perspective and more confidence.
This time, I was determined not to let anyone’s opinion hold me back. I took the time to learn about the industry, improve myself, and, most importantly, embrace a style that reflected my individuality. Along the way, I realized that modeling isn’t just about looks; it’s about character, hard work, and the ability to stand out.
If you’re thinking it’s too late or that you’ve missed your chance, trust me—it’s never too late to start again. The key is to stay true to yourself and keep trying.

Inna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A Lesson I Had to Unlearn: Perfection Isn’t Everything
During a big fashion show, I was given a dress that didn’t fit—it was too tight in some places, too loose in others, and extremely uncomfortable. To make it worse, the shoes were a size too small, and every step felt like torture. I was convinced I’d fail because I didn’t look or feel “perfect.”
But when I walked the runway, no one noticed my discomfort. Instead, they focused on my confidence and energy. That day, I realized perfection isn’t about how things look or feel—it’s about how you carry yourself. Sometimes, confidence can outshine any flaw.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A Lesson I Had to Unlearn: Saying “Yes” to Everything
When I was starting out in modeling, I thought I had to accept every opportunity to prove myself. I’d say “yes” to every shoot, casting, and project, even when the terms weren’t great or I felt overworked. I was afraid that saying “no” would close doors or make me seem ungrateful.
One day, after weeks of back-to-back commitments, I showed up to a shoot completely drained. My energy was low, and it showed in the photos. The client wasn’t happy, and neither was I. That experience taught me that quality matters more than quantity.
I unlearned the idea that success comes from always being available. Instead, I learned to prioritize projects that align with my goals and values. Saying “no” doesn’t mean missing out—it means making room for better opportunities. Now, I tell my clients: respect your time and know your worth.
