Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sabika Naqvi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Sabika, thanks for joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
I’m incredibly happy I took the leap to start my own business. While it’s been challenging, it’s also been so rewarding. The biggest gain for me has been flexibility—having the time and energy to truly show up for my kids. In my previous career, long commutes and demanding schedules left me drained, and I often felt I wasn’t showing up for my family the way I wanted to be.
There have been moments of doubt. I remember a tough week when orders were slow, inventory issues piled up, and my toddler was sick. For a brief moment, I wondered if I had made the right choice, leaving the stability of a regular job. But then I paused and reminded myself of why I started this journey. That same week, I was able to take an afternoon off to cuddle my little one while he recovered. No meetings to reschedule, no boss to report to—just the freedom to prioritize what mattered most in that moment. I also found that once the chaos settled, I had the mental space to dive back into my creative work, which is one of the aspects I love most about running my business.
Being a business owner allows me to align my work with my values—prioritizing family while embracing my creativity. While I sometimes reflect on the predictability of a traditional job, I wouldn’t trade this journey for the fulfillment and growth it has brought me.

Sabika, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my story! My name is Sabika, and I’m the co-founder of Little Chirya, a brand dedicated to creating high-quality, eco-friendly baby clothing made from bamboo fabric based out of Atlanta. I started Little Chirya with the vision of providing parents with products that are not only practical and comfortable for their little ones but also sustainable and gentle on the planet.
The inspiration for this journey came from my own experience as a mom. When I had my daughter, she had really sensitive skin, and that was when my search began. I wanted to provide her with the comfiest clothes that did not irritate her skin, but I also found that most baby clothing had distracting prints or writing. I noticed how difficult it was to find baby clothing that checked all the boxes—soft, safe for sensitive skin, eco-conscious, and minimalistic design. I knew I wasn’t alone in wanting better options, and that’s what led me to dive into the world of bamboo fabric. It’s an incredible material—naturally breathable, hypoallergenic, and sustainable.
At Little Chirya, we offer a range of thoughtfully designed baby clothing that prioritizes both comfort and style. Each piece is created with love, keeping the needs of babies and parents in mind. I take pride in ensuring that our products are made with care and attention to detail, from selecting the softest fabrics to crafting designs that are both functional and beautiful.
What sets Little Chirya apart is our commitment to sustainability, beautiful soft hues, and crafted packaging. As a mom, I understand how overwhelming parenting can be, so my goal is to create products that make life just a little easier. Whether it’s a onesie that’s easy to put on during late-night diaper changes or clothing that keeps little ones cozy without irritation, every decision we make is with families in mind.
My hope is that Little Chirya becomes a small but cherished part of your family’s story, just as it has been for mine.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Our primary point of sale is through our website, and honestly, it’s my favorite way to connect with customers. I’ve poured countless hours into sourcing the best eco-friendly packaging for our products, and I love being able to share that thoughtful experience directly with my customers. When you order from our website, it truly feels like receiving a curated gift. It’s a one-woman show—I personally hand-pack every order, paying attention to every little detail to ensure the experience is as special as the product itself.
One of the biggest advantages of selling through our site is the ability to provide personalized customer care. For example, a customer once reached out because her package was delivered to an old address after she moved. I was able to resolve the issue immediately by sending out a new package. Moments like these reinforce how important it is to me to handle customer requests with care and efficiency.
In 2024, we also expanded to Amazon to cater to avid Amazon shoppers. While Amazon offers convenience and a larger reach, it lacks the personal touch that defines Little Chirya. Handling customer concerns through Amazon isn’t as seamless as when someone orders directly from our website, where I can oversee every step of the process.
Ultimately, while Amazon helps us grow, our website remains the heart of Little Chirya. It’s where we can provide a truly special and personal shopping experience that reflects the values and care behind the brand.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building a social media presence has been a slow and steady journey, teaching me the importance of patience and persistence. My number one piece of advice for anyone starting out is to stay consistent, not just with posting, but also with engaging and genuinely connecting with your audience. Social media isn’t just about showcasing products; it’s about building relationships and creating a sense of community.
As a business owner juggling multiple responsibilities, keeping up with trends on platforms like Instagram or TikTok can be overwhelming at times. But I remind myself that nothing worthwhile comes easy. The key is to keep showing up, even if progress feels slow.
One thing that has really helped is focusing on authenticity. People connect with stories and real moments, so don’t be afraid to show the person behind the brand.
Social media growth takes time, so celebrate the small wins along the way. Be patient, stay true to your voice, and remember that building an audience is a marathon, not a sprint.
