Jasmine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

Yes. A defining moment in my career came when I treated a patient suffering from Chronic Venous Insufficiency who had seven venous ulcers (skin defects) and severe leg swelling. Chronic Venous Insufficiency is unique in that patients often endure it for decades—some first notice symptoms around childbirth but don’t seek help until their 50s or 60s. This condition can be both medically significant and cosmetically distressing, so successful treatment not only alleviates pain and discomfort but also restores patients’ confidence.

In this particular case, after thorough evaluation and appropriate therapy, all seven ulcers healed completely, and the patient’s leg swelling subsided so much that he was able to discontinue his diuretic medication. He went on to adopt a healthier lifestyle, exercising regularly and losing weight. Witnessing his transformation and the profound impact our care had on his life crystallized the importance of what we do. It reminded me that effectively treating Chronic Venous Insufficiency can open a whole new chapter in a patient’s life—one of renewed health, confidence, and well-being. That moment continues to inspire me to provide the best possible care for all my patients.

I’m extremely proud of the transformative journey we provide through our vein treatments. My team and I are dedicated to motivating patients and offering comprehensive support to ensure the best possible outcomes. Because effective vein treatment typically involves multiple sessions that can span a year or more, our patients’ commitment is essential—and we work hard to foster a positive environment that encourages this.

By combining education, empathy, and clinical expertise, we not only help our patients find relief from uncomfortable symptoms but also provide them with the confidence that comes from cosmetic improvement. It’s immensely rewarding to see people excited about wearing sandals, shorts, or dresses for the first time in decades. That renewed self-assurance and quality of life is what drives us to continually refine and elevate our practice.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?

Absolutely. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would choose the same profession without hesitation. I’m genuinely grateful to be an interventional vein specialist, and I wake up every day excited to customize vein treatments for each individual patient. One of the highlights of my work is reviewing the post-procedure ultrasound—it’s incredibly rewarding to see the measurable progress and know we’re achieving outstanding results.
I feel privileged to serve the San Diego community and can’t imagine a more fulfilling career. Being able to combine my passion for patient care with the technical aspects of interventional medicine is something I cherish, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

Being a team player is vital in a small business setting. As a leader, I focus on cultivating mutual respect and collegial relationships among our staff. We often anticipate each other’s needs and step in to help without being asked. By putting patients first—minimizing wait times to just a few minutes and ensuring rooms are prepared ahead of each appointment—we’re able to deliver exceptional service and top-quality care. It’s this spirit of collaboration and shared dedication that truly drives our success.
