We were lucky to catch up with Rosa Nice recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rosa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on is my latest single, “Ring Around the Rosie”. This song represents a deeply personal journey, both artistically and personally. Its creation coincided with a transformative two-year period during which I lost 120 pounds, a milestone that symbolizes not just physical change but also profound growth in my health, self-discipline, and mindset.
The inspiration behind the song lies in the themes of friendship, resilience, and rediscovery. Growing up, music was always a form of self-expression for me, but as I navigated life’s challenges, including balancing my studies, motherhood, and my career, I found myself reconnecting with it on an even deeper level. *Ring Around the Rosie* draws on those experiences, blending beautiful melodies with lyrics that explore communication, relationships, and togetherness.
This project is meaningful because it’s a reflection of my dedication—not just to my craft but to becoming the best version of myself. Balancing my Master of Public Health program, my communication work, and my evolving relationship with my body, required discipline, self-compassion, and an unyielding commitment to growth. Every lyric and note in this song carries the weight of that transformation. For me, *Ring Around the Rosie* is more than a track—it’s a testament to resilience and the power of self-reclamation. I wrote the lyrics to this song and worked very closely with producer Miles Wentworth to create the perfect sound.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is when someone enjoys the music I create. Whether it’s a download, a listen, or a heartfelt compliment, knowing that my work resonates with others is incredibly fulfilling. Music has this unique ability to connect us on a deeper level—it transcends words and touches emotions that we sometimes can’t fully express. Being able to resonate with others through my story and testimony, conveyed through my voice and sound, is truly a powerful experience. It’s humbling to know that my personal journey can become part of someone else’s, helping them feel seen, heard, or understood. That connection is what drives me to keep pushing boundaries, evolving as an artist, and sharing my truth with the world.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media has been a journey of authenticity and consistency. I started by simply sharing my life and my journey—talking about everything from making music to being on set for music videos, working as a production assistant, attending concerts, or even just going to restaurants or hotels. I wasn’t focused solely on music; it was about showing the full spectrum of my experiences. This approach allowed my followers to connect with me on a personal level, not just as an artist, but as a real person.
Over the past couple of years, I saw the most growth, especially after I began doing boudoir modeling. I kept posting consistently, showing different aspects of my life and my creative work, which resonated with people. The key for me was being transparent and sharing moments that were true to who I am, and that’s where I gained much of my following.
For anyone just starting to build their social media presence, my advice is simple: Be authentic and consistent. Share your journey, even the small moments. People love to see real, unfiltered experiences. It’s not just about the perfect shot, but about showing who you are and what you stand for. Keep engaging with your audience and let them be a part of your journey—they’ll follow along because they want to connect with the real you.
