Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eddy Wilson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Eddy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
In 2018 I was a music artist and was working part time a at a supermarket. Student loans started to get garnished from my paycheck. It started eating into my expenses and I didn’t know what to do. I called my mentor who is a financial consultant for professional athletes. He sat me down and gave me financial literacy 101. from that day on I started to reevaluate my career and legacy. I started to study finance and economics from doing so I realize that financial literacy wasn’t so prominent in my community. A lot of people who share the same cultural similarities as I hadn’t been exposed to financial literacy and wealth building strategies. I learned how vital financial literacy was for someone’s family and they’re generation to come. It brought a sense of freedom and independence that I feel as tho everyone deserves. At “Wilson Financial Consulting” Our mission is to create wealth where it don’t exist one legacy at a time!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born in Nigeria and raised in New Jersey, I moved to Georgia 2021 to build out my financial consulting practice. I got introduced to the industry by my mentor who i snow one of my partners. he taught me financial literacy. I decided that this is the industry I want to be in and became a student of the game every sense. As a Financial Consultant I serve and facilitate professional financial services for my clients. My area of focus in the financial planning process is Risk Management using strategic tax planning, protection, and retirement strategies. Ultimately these strategies solve our clients: tax risk, inflation risk, interest rate risk, income risk, and market volatility. We are most proud of serving and financially empowering the people in our community who aren’t exposed to these type of strategies. Our brand is big on bringing financial empowerment to minority business owners and their families.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for me has been events and gatherings. I’m most effective when I’m physically showing up and connecting with people in person.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
yes there are 3 books that I am reading , “Financial Planning Guide”, “The Soul of Money,”, “Complete Conversations with God”
