Today we’d like to introduce you to Javenna Bellinger.

Hi Javenna , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion is writing. I wanted to be a Songwriter and have written a number of great song lyrics. However, awhile ago breaking into the music industry was no easy feat for me. As time moved on, I started having children. As a parent I often repeat myself and as a creative person when I say something a lot in my head. Those words become a song or a book. For example, I had 3 stair step children and they all were learning how to put their clothes on at the same time. My children would ask ” Is This The Right Way?” I had to think of a way I could help them so they can dress themselves and I can drink my coffee! I would say a million times “Is The Tag In The Back?” My children would say yes even when it wasn’t.

The children’s book Tag In The Back was written to help children identify the tag in the back of their clothes is a guide to help them get dressed. I also wrote a nursery rhyme song called Tag In The Back so not only was I asking the question I was singing it too.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part the creative process has been smooth because I love writing and creating. However, being a Self-Published Author can be a lot of work especially when one has a family and another career. Although being a Self-Published Children’s Author has it’s challenges, I enjoy the process and work hard to create my own opportunities.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the Children’s Author of the Learn Something Book Series. I have written 29 educational and inspirational children’s books. I have also written some nursery rhyme song for my children’s book titles like “Everybody ❤️ Bubbles and Tag In The Back.” My book readings are fun and engaging for the students and Teachers.

What makes you happy?
