We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lavinia (Mrsvee ) Asante a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lavinia (Mrsvee ) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Vee’s Fashion Solution LLC was birthed out of a time when I was dealing with depression. I had just lost my father. We were extremely close. I prayed and asked God to give me something that I could find joy in and help others to build financial breakthroughs for their families. An opportunity was presented for me to buy a shoe business. As my business began to flourish, I expanded my offerings to include wigs, clothing, jewelry, handbags, shoes, accessories and more. Over the past two years, we have become the go-to resource for fashion entrepreneurs all around the world. My mission and focus area are to reach more people who feel they must have a lot of money to get started with a fashion business. Through my fashion academy and mentorship, aspiring fashion entrepreneurs will be able to start a new business (or level up their existing business) with the proper foundation for an LLC, learn how to build their target audience/community-clients, and make a profit showing the abundance of hard work, dedication, faith, and a support system.
Lavinia (Mrsvee ), love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Lavinia (Mrs. Vee) Asante, MY business is in McDonough, Georgia. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2016, I suffered from depression and grief due to losing my father. I was a “Daddy’s Girl” so losing him caused me to fall into a deep inconsolable stint of depression. During my grief, I prayed and asked God to keep me busy. My prayer was answered as I was presented with my first opportunity in fashion retail, purchasing a shoe company that was closing. My business education and experience went into drive, and I begin to organize and sell shoes. While my new shoe business was going well, I faced with another major tragedy, two surgeries on my wrist. During my medical recovery, I began to have dreams and visions of assisting others with building successful shoe companies at an affordable start-up rate. This blessing in disguise, lead to me to acquiring a new purpose and venture, Vee’s Fashion Solutions LLC.
I continued to pray and ask God to help me be a blessing to others in the fashion industry, to enlarge my territory in the form of knowledge in the business and physical space. First came an office, which I quickly outgrew after launching my virtual fashion group (800+ members) that offers mentoring/accountability, trending fashion items at wholesale pricing, an online fashion academy via Zoom and Facebook LIVEs, and my U.S. fashion warehouse. I researched the world of fashion, learning and developing a system that I could teach others allowing them to own and operate successful fashion businesses, making profit that leads to financial wealth for them and their families.
This did not happen overnight, I had many sleepless nights, weeks of tears from trial and error, ongoing strategy planning and personal mentoring sessions with my husband, Mr. Cleo Asante (my business mentor and partner). I continued to work hard, going above and beyond for others connected to me so that they can experience financial freedom, peace, joy, abundance, and prosperity in their businesses.
What set us apart is we not only help you learn the industry of reselling, but when you are ready to Level Up, we teach you how to become, a US Vendor, taking the middle person out, where you are able to see 300% and up in profit. This is an opportunity for Fashion business owners to level up in their business, positions them to offer the same opportunities to their state/local business owners just as I have done.
Vee’s Fashion Solutions LLC continues to be successful, and I am proud of the direct mentorship, fervent prayers, unwavering faith, and the selfless act of sharing and teaching others (strangers across the globe) how to elevate their business to the next level.
I try to walk in my purpose daily. To have someone who helps you start a fashion business, mentors you through your journey, prays for you and your business, and makes sure you have access to the latest trending fashion items that are excellent quality at affordable prices- is truly a God-sent blessing this is something I want everyone to know.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I always say, “God did this all.” I meet my business partner, Mr. Cleo (now my husband and mentor for 12 years) in the hospital parking lot of where my dad and Cleo’s cousin was admitted. As I was walking to my car, I saw a box on my trunk and saw some guys standing near my car. The man in all white caught my eye…lol. I walked up to them and said, “This my car, but that is not my box. So, therefore I have scratches on my trunk now.” He apologized and said he had a moving company and was dispatching his workers. I ask him for his business card, and he ask for my number and if he could take me to dinner. And the rest is history. We will celebrate being married for 10 years this year on September 8th.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I build my audience by going live on the different social media platforms and selling quality items at an affordable price. People started finding me and sharing my information to others. In the times that we are in, word of mouth is the biggest way you can advertise your business. Never give up because, they see you!
