Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darrielle Pitts. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Darrielle, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
If there is anything that I could change about the education system it would definitely be more exposure and connection to growth opportunities and things that prepare you to have a smoother transition into adulthood.
It could be anything, like more job fairs or social engagements with individuals in desired positions as a means of mentorship.
I’m not talking about doctors, lawyers, and police officers but freelancers, marketers and even visual arts. There are so many different kinds of jobs out there and some of them don’t require a master’s degree.
Now being an adult reflecting back, there are things that I wish I knew sooner about skills and trades of interest. There were a lot of brushed over topics that essentially left no substance to linger in the mind beyond graduation, and if I remember correctly I believe we spent about a half of a semester on economics and finance.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Darrielle, and I am the gal behind the magic.
The journey of Simply Divine Visions began back in 2020 during the pandemic where my mother, Tina, and I dedicated our time to learning and perfecting our new found craft.
We initially began with treat making desserts, custom t-shirts and balloon decor/ event setups. Later we decided that balloons and events decor was more of a calling for us.
For me, this was unlike any other “hobby” I loved everything about this business.
Personally I have a profound passion for creative expression and take great pride in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients.
Whether they are celebrating a milestone birthday, organizing a corporate event, or planning the party of their dreams, we feel that every experience deserves a grand celebration.
This business did have a little bit of a slower growth due to this essentially being a secondary job once our 9-5 resumed. Eventually as a whole this business venture had been put on a slight pause.
Fast forward to 2024, where my personal interest had sparked again but this time it was a fire lit! I proceeded to educate myself on what it really meant to be a business owner by taking a business cohort session with the WBDC over the summer, I’ve gone to business seminars and conducted more research in my industry. There’s so many new ideas and better perspective now and I’m excited to see where this next year takes us!
2024 has been an impactful year for us and we have definitely established ourselves within this industry and have been fortunate enough to be presented with numerous opportunities to collaborate with a variety of different clients and events.
As we embark on this journey we’d like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to our clients and our future clients!
Our goal is to create memorable moments for everyone, while also alleviating the stress that comes with party planning and hosting events.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Personally for a business like mine social media is a no brainer!
Platforms like TikTok helps with marketing and with those videos we can use those on platforms like facebook market to advertise and show case our products and work. Another staple in our business is Instagram!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’ve always had to pivot!
In my career, I truly thought I would be in the fashion industry forever. Straight out of high school retail became my life, many people knew me as the fashionable artsy girl growing up, so taking this path was very on brand for me.
I went to college and obtained my certification in visual merchandising and had dreams of having this role and potentially climbing the corporate ladder, while this was a dream of mine at the time there were so many deterrents that led to me to change my focus. I felt like I was constantly hitting a wall trying to reach someone else’s perceived notions of me, and then until suddenly one day I decided I wanted more for myself. I knew I deserved more than I was getting, and I put so much of myself into building on someone else dreams, when I should be living out mine. I also knew I had to challenge my belief system beyond what I was seeing and experiencing.
I needed to create something of my own, hence the comeback of Simply Divine Visions.
