We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ashley Ingram a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
What it takes to be successful. Success starts with knowing who you would like to be in life and where you see yourself in the next 5 years. What will it take to meet your goal? Building success and a profitable name for yourself takes discipline and determination. Most importantly, being okay with making others uncomfortable to get where you are trying to go. However, success starts with making up your mind that you will let absolutely NOTHING stand in the way of your calling and end goals because you are here to make a difference in the world, people need what you have to offer. If you are willing to put the work in and follow the most high which comes with listening to your inner self, and your intuition then you can pretty much get things done. Always write down a plan to bring your vision to reality. Even on the days when you don’t feel like showing up you have to push yourself and put in the effort. Prioritize quality and commitment in everything you do.

Hello, I’m Ashley Ingram! I’m a full time content creator and Digital Marketing CEO of “THE SALON BLUEPRINT “. I create content for individuals who are entrepreneurs or aspire to be and are on the path to discovering their highest self. My journey started during the pandemic when my life was shaken up due to the mandatory closing of my salon due to Covid-19. I was forced to dive deeper and take an introspective approach towards my life. During the shutdown of my business I had to figure out how to move forward with my career in the salon industry and figure out how my voice could be heard while trying to help others figure out life after being affected in the same way that my life had been thrown into a rut. While turning my pain into passion I created “The Salon Blueprint “ a digital business which helps other beauty professionals learn how to come from behind the chair and grow their business by the utilization of social media. We build websites, link in bios, drop-shipping websites, flyers and more to help business owners grow their businesses through automation and digital marketing.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience around social media using Facebook and Instagram ads and most importantly email marketing to retain the audience for the ones who had already done business with me in the past. I encourage entrepreneurs to utilize email marketing and campaigns, it helps the people who are following you to gain knowledge and trust around you and your business. When you are introducing a business model to the public especially one that is not faceless you have to give a little back story about yourself. You have to share your vulnerable moments and past failures with the world so that they can understand why they need what you have to offer and the problems that you can solve for them.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy that I have used while growing my business is by using YouTube with sharing my journey and doing free tutorials to help entrepreneurs that may need step by step guidance. You won’t have to ask for sales, however I get business by nurturing the viewers through email marketing.
