Joshua, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

After about two weeks of attempting door to door sales, I finally landed my first customer. That first customer was one of the many people who had said no to me in the beginning. I remember i used to go home everyday and my wife would ask me about my day, I would always reply with, “everything went good”, knowing i had made no sales that day. I can recall times that homeowners would slam the door in my face. And even though those slammed doors were discouraging, they also ignited the fire and will to succeed even more.

Joshua, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Joshua Bombara and I have always had the desire to start my own business, to be my own boss. I wanted to offer a quality of service in my industry that many other companies were lacking. Prior to starting my own business, i worked for other large pest control companies and always felt that they were geared towards quantity of services to be done but not necessarily focused on the quality. Legacy Exterminators Inc. is where you can always count on a quality first experience. We are a family owned and operated pest and termite company that offers services to Santa Barbara , Ventura, Los Angeles and San Bernardino County with our home base located in Oxnard, California.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Covid was a time for a lot of companies but especially small businesses. During this time, we had to make many adjustments to our operations. We went full digital for all documents and communications because any in-person contact was no longer an option.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source for Legacy Exterminators Inc. to grow with new clients has been word of mouth. Providing great quality will get the customers to advertise for you.
