Jessica , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
The Art of Taking Risks: A Journey from Brazil to Los Angeles
Taking risks is an essential part of the journey to success. As a Brazilian entrepreneur, my story began with what was supposed to be a simple vacation in the United States. Yet, life had other plans for me. I felt a calling to stay longer and pursue the dream of expanding my natural cosmetics brand, LaTerra, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles.
The decision was far from easy. Adapting to a new language, culture, and way of life posed significant challenges. Building connections and navigating the unknown was both daunting and exhilarating. But despite the uncertainties, I embraced the adventure and stepped into the role of an entrepreneur in a foreign land.
What I’ve discovered along the way is that courage is often met with opportunity. Each day has brought new doors to open, offering possibilities for growth and expansion I never imagined. It’s a reminder that stepping out of your comfort zone is where the magic happens.
Taking risks doesn’t come with guarantees. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: if you don’t take the leap, no one else will do it for you. Success favors those who dare to act, even in the face of uncertainty.
My journey with LaTerra continues to evolve, and I hope it inspires others to embrace the beauty of risk-taking and the endless possibilities that come with it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
About Me and LaTerra
I am an artist and creative mentor, passionate about exploring the connection between nature, art and their transformative power in our lives. My journey as an entrepreneur began with the creation of LaTerra in 20219, a natural cosmetics brand born from my love for conscious and sustainable self-care rituals.
My immersion in this field was inspired by my experience living in the Brazilian wilderness, such as the Cerrado and the Amazon, where I witnessed the abundance and power of natural resources. This taught me that beauty is not just about appearance, but about the synergy between body, mind and spirit. With LaTerra, I wanted to create more than products – I wanted to offer sensorial experiences that nourish the whole being.
What we offer
LaTerra specializes in natural cosmetics with exclusive formulas, such as our unique oils that come directly from the jungle, such as Buriti oil, andiroba, cupuaçu butter, mica, a mineral well-known for being a natural glitter, and the origin of Corporal Glow, which combines high-performance natural ingredients to hydrate and enhance the skin’s natural luminosity. Each product is created with care to respect the environment and celebrate what is most pure and authentic in nature.
In addition, as a creative mentor, I help individuals unlock their potential, rediscover their essence, and align their passions with their life’s journey. My mentoring combines tools such as Human Design and Akashic Records with practical strategies to promote clarity, purpose, and action.
What sets us apart
What makes my work unique is authenticity. Both at LaTerra and in my mentoring, every detail is designed to reflect the uniqueness of who we are. LaTerra is deeply respectful of the Amazon’s ancestral heritage and a desire to transform self-care into a sacred act. In my mentorships, my approach integrates creativity, neuroscience, and spirituality, offering truly holistic support for those seeking meaningful change.
What I’m most proud of
I’m incredibly proud of how LaTerra and my work as a mentor inspire people to take more conscious, authentic, and creative care of themselves, encompassing beauty, health, and well-being. It’s a privilege to know that each product or mentorship creates an impact, whether through a daily ritual or a profound personal transformation.
What I want you to know about me and my brand
LaTerra is more than a cosmetics brand; it’s an invitation to reconnect with your essence. My work as a mentor is the same: to help you find clarity and purpose in your journey. I’m committed to truth, authenticity, and positive impact because I believe that self-care and self-discovery are the greatest acts of love we can cultivate.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
Yes, I make LaTerra products myself.
The story of LaTerra began in 2019, when I was living in an environment surrounded by nature, among waterfalls, crystals and still intact vegetation. This deep contact with nature awakened in me an awareness of the impact of the products we consume on the environment and on our own bodies.
At that time, driven by my creative essence and the desire to create something that reflected genuine care for nature and people, I decided to start making my own cosmetic products, all handmade. I had no previous experience in manufacturing, but I immersed myself in studies about natural ingredients, formulations and production techniques. Each ingredient was carefully selected, and every detail, from the logo to the packaging, was developed with great love and attention.
Challenges and lessons learned
In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was finding high-quality raw materials that were truly natural, sustainable and ethical. I did a lot of research and built a network of suppliers who shared the same values as me: respect for the environment and valuing the purity of ingredients.
I’ve learned that making products isn’t just about creating something beautiful or functional, but also about ensuring quality, safety, and authenticity. Every batch of LaTerra products is made with the same care and intention that I started with. Craftsmanship requires dedication, but it also offers the opportunity to create something truly unique.
What I’m most proud of
Today, looking back at LaTerra and seeing how it has grown is a source of great pride. Knowing that it all started with a desire to make something with purpose, and that along the way, I’ve positively impacted so many people, is a huge accomplishment.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My journey into social media began with a desire to share my essence, my vision and LaTerra’s values with the world. I have always been very connected to authenticity and creating content that is genuine and resonates with whoever is on the other side of the screen.
As a content creator, I started by sharing my creative process and behind-the-scenes of how I develop my cosmetics, always focusing on the impact that nature has on my life and my work. I believe that the key to building a genuine audience is to be transparent and vulnerable, allowing people to see the real you.
Little by little, I realized that people connected not only with the products, but also with my story, the brand’s values and the way I view self-care and nature. From the beginning, I focused on creating content that was not only promotional, but also educational and inspiring, offering tips on well-being, sustainability and self-awareness.
Advice for those just starting out on social media
Be authentic and transparent – People connect with other people, not with perfect brands. Share your journey, your challenges, and your victories. The more authentic you are, the easier it will be to build a community that trusts you.
Create content that adds value – Instead of just selling, offer something of value to your audience. This could be an insight, a tip, an inspiring story, or even educational content. People love to feel enriched by the content they consume.
Be consistent – Consistency is key. It’s not about posting every day, but about maintaining a frequency that lets your audience know what to expect from you.
Interact with your audience – Don’t forget to engage with the people who are following you.
Believe in your purpose – Social media can be challenging, especially in the beginning when results are not immediate. But if you are aligned with your purpose and what you want to convey, the right audience will connect with you naturally.
My story on social media is a reflection of what I believe: that every journey is unique and that authenticity is the best way to create a positive impact.
