Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Savannah Moody. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Savannah, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
When I was thinking about the name for my company, I knew I wanted it to reflect the core mission behind everything I do: helping small businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. The name had to convey the idea of success, progress, and results. With services like website design, social media management, and photography, my focus is always on empowering others to achieve their vision and see real growth.
I chose the name because it highlights that I’m not just offering services—I’m deeply invested in helping my clients succeed. Whether it’s creating a website that converts, managing social media to build a strong online presence, or capturing photos that tell a compelling story, everything I do is centered around achieving measurable results. The word achieve encapsulates my commitment to delivering outcomes that drive success, whether that means more engagement, stronger branding, or increased business growth.
At the end of the day, the name is a reflection of my dedication to helping my clients reach their full potential and achieve their business goals. It’s all about results, and I’m here to make them happen.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a self-driven entrepreneur with a deep passion for photography and marketing, and I’ve always been drawn to creative work that allows me to make an impact. My journey into this industry started with photography, where I discovered my love for capturing stories and visualizing ideas. Over time, I realized that photography was just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to building a strong, successful brand. That’s when I dove into the world of marketing and website design, seeing how the right combination of visuals, messaging, and strategy can elevate a business and drive results.
I’m proud to say that I’ve helped numerous small businesses and entrepreneurs not only create standout websites and manage their social media presence but also achieve real, measurable growth. I believe my work goes beyond just making things look good—it’s about helping people reach their goals. Whether I’m designing a website that truly reflects a brand’s essence, creating social media content that connects with the right audience, or capturing stunning photography that tells a powerful story, I’m always focused on the end result: helping businesses succeed and grow.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach to digital presence. I’m not just about creating beautiful websites or crafting perfect social media posts. I work closely with my clients to understand their goals, challenges, and aspirations. From there, I develop tailored strategies and solutions that align with their vision, whether that’s increasing sales, improving brand recognition, or reaching a larger audience. I’m invested in my clients’ success and truly care about helping them achieve their dreams.
What I’m most proud of is the number of businesses I’ve personally helped grow, the brands I’ve been part of building, and the people who’ve reached their goals thanks to my work. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a business go from struggling to thriving because of the strategies and tools I’ve helped put in place.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want them to know that my work is driven by a deep sense of purpose: to help others succeed. I’m not just here to provide a service—I’m here to be a partner in your business journey. Whether it’s a website, social media management, or photography, everything I do is focused on one thing: achieving results. I’m passionate about what I do, and I’m fully invested in making sure you achieve your goals. Let’s create something amazing together.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
At first, it was just me—no team, no big office, just me working on my laptop during nap times and late nights. I started small, offering social media management services to small businesses and entrepreneurs who needed help growing their online presence. The flexibility of working from home gave me the time I needed to nurture my daughter while also putting in the effort to build my brand.
One of the key milestones came when I started to see consistent client inquiries and repeat business. That moment when I realized that the hustle was paying off—that my hard work was leading to actual growth and income—was huge. It also led to me expanding my services. While I initially focused on social media, I quickly began offering other areas of digital marketing, like content creation, brand strategy, and marketing consultation. As my client base grew, so did my ability to refine my processes, increase my rates, and streamline my services.
The biggest challenge—and milestone—was realizing that I was doing all of this on my own. I didn’t hire anyone. It was just me running the business, managing clients, doing the marketing, and handling all the behind-the-scenes tasks. It wasn’t always easy, but it was incredibly rewarding.
Over time, Achieve Agency grew from that side hustle into a full-time business, one that gave me the freedom I was looking for and also provided meaningful value to the clients I worked with. Each year, I saw more stability, better client relationships, and the satisfaction of doing something I truly love. It’s been a journey of creative freedom, personal growth, and providing better opportunities—not only for my own family but for the businesses I help elevate.
Now, Achieve is no longer just a side project—it’s my full-time career. I’m proud of what I’ve built on my own, and I’m excited for the future as I continue to grow the business while still maintaining that balance that’s so important to me.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A major lesson I had to unlearn early on in my journey with Achieve Agency was the idea that I needed to take on every client, no matter what. Early in my business, I was eager to grow and build my reputation, so I took on just about anyone who was willing to pay for my services. But what I quickly realized was that not all clients were the right fit for me—and certainly not all were the right fit for my business.
The turning point came with a particular client. They were a small business owner, and at first, everything seemed fine. I was managing their social media and website, and we had agreed on a set scope of work. But over time, the requests started piling up—requests that weren’t part of our original agreement. They’d ask me to create email lists for them, make up events for their business, or even develop full-fledged marketing strategies. At first, I was happy to help when I could, thinking that it would help solidify our relationship and maybe even lead to more opportunities.
But soon, they began expecting these additional services without any extra payment. They would ask for more and more outside of the scope, and it became clear they were over-utilizing my time and skills without compensating me for it. I realized that this wasn’t sustainable, and I needed to draw a clear boundary. So, I explained to them that if they wanted me to take on additional tasks beyond the agreed-upon work, I’d need to charge extra. The moment I set that boundary, however, things took a turn. They labeled me as a bully and became hostile, accusing me of being difficult and not accommodating their needs.
That situation was uncomfortable, to say the least, and it made me question my approach. It was hard to stand up for myself, especially when I had put so much effort into pleasing clients and keeping them happy. But I had to unlearn the habit of overextending myself and doing work that wasn’t part of the agreed-upon scope. I had to accept that not all clients were going to respect my time, expertise, and boundaries—and that’s okay. I realized that I should focus on working with clients who valued what I brought to the table and were willing to invest in their growth in a way that aligned with my business.
Since then, I’ve learned to focus on high-value clients—those who are not only willing to pay for the services I provide but who also respect my expertise, time, and boundaries. I’ve become much more discerning in choosing who I work with and have learned how to handle uncomfortable situations with professionalism. Now, I set clear expectations from the beginning and am confident in maintaining boundaries without feeling guilty. This has not only helped me preserve my energy and creativity but has also strengthened my relationships with clients who truly value the work I do.
The lesson was hard to learn, but it was necessary for the growth of my business. It taught me that being clear on what I offer and standing firm on my boundaries doesn’t make me a “bully” — it makes me a professional.
